| Why Asian?
Posted: 8/20/2009 10:51:23 PM | Yes, there is something to the "Asian thing". Granted, all nationalities have their qualities...as do red heads vs blonds vs brunette. But I dated and had an ongoing relationship with a Japanese woman who was everything you could imagine. She was older, but looked so good for her age. She knew everything she was doing and had a purpose in doing it. She knew how to be a lady, how to seduce, be a woman, be vulnerable, be in control, take care of you or let you be a gentleman. It was one hell of a ride and I'd love to find someone like her again.

2. I'm not sure what you mean by this exactly or how its different from the first question.
3. Personally I like straight hair, I think your eye's are really cute, I like thinner/waifish girls, just sort of an overall general attraction.
4. If they grow up in a western country its just the physical differences. If they grow up in an asian country there's the general exotisism of any foreigner. Also in my experience they tend to be very curious, polite, excitable, and do a lot of cute little funny things. Also they seem to be alot less worried about looking foolish occasionally.
5. Again this is going to refer to where you grew up. Western girls are a little more combative/sure of themselves. If I argue with man European or American female friends its like we're having an equal debate. When I do the same with my Asian female friends I feel like I'm beating up on them.
6. Not because they were or weren't asian. I try to treat everyone in a manner that they enjoy which isn't always the same for everyone. Some girls you can kiss in public some girls are embarrassed by it. Some girls like you to teach them things some girls like to argue it's all on the person. | |

Example: My ethnic mix is European; Spanish & Italian ~ Europeans are Caucasian. Some of my friends at work would argue that I'm not Caucasian. That's opinion not fact. They're probably confusing Caucasian with Anglo-Saxon | |

They just like certain people cause that's what they are attracted to!
Hmm Fleur I think your friends at work are really really confused about what Caucasian means and associate it with as you say only Anglo-Saxon... Tell them to go take an Anthropology class or just go look up the definition of the word LOL
Woot! Of course I have my own personal ideas of why some people favor Asian girls but also have ideas about Asian girls wanting Caucasian guys more so now than in the past. I care not to of course post it cause it is a generalization and doesn't fit everyone's reasons for wanting what they want. Is there anything wrong of it... No I think not. It is no more wrong than a person wanting a person to have been born the same gender they are now or even the same gender as themselves!! People want what they want and that's not going to stop them nor should they be frowned upon for their preference.
The only exception to me on this belief are pedophiles. They all deserve to be drawn and quarter old fashion style... Well ok maybe not that drastic but something along those lines. Of course even the concept of what is right and wrong / pedophiles is a cultural construct as in some cultures people are married at like 8 to older generally men but it's not wrong in their society so it's hard to say. Different topic for another day.

As far as Asian, European, American, African, what ever it is just a color of skin. For me it is all about what is on the inside. I am not saying there doesn't need to be any physical attraction. But I believe that what a person exudes from the inside helps them to be attractive, or unattractive for that matter.
My high school sweetie was Thai. we dated for 3 years and were even engaged. Let me tell you 20 years ago we used to get some looks, my family is English and Scottish, so you can only imagine. We never noticed people looking at us until one day someone pointed it out to us. This was not the reason we didn't stay together, it was more complicated and a different story all together.

It's nice to know that Asian guys are still looked at based on the same attributes that 99.92% of the male population possess on the planet earth! But what about the things that make us unique.. I mean what about the calculator? It has to be sexy no? I mean an abacus old fashion wooden ones!  or our coke bottle glasses, or the me no speak english good accent? Come on those have to be musts or to die for features hehe
I guess the 1 person who has neither attractive glutes, pecs, eyes, and is asian is pretty much screwed then!  | |

Same as some women have a preference also.
What I hear the most is how beautiful & exotic looking I am.
I find that a WONDERFUL compliment!
So I just embrace it for what it is & enjoy my unique features without analyzing someone's reasoning behind it all!

It seems like the ones I have dated were eager to see what kind of daing ideas that I can come up with.... It made me feel more manly at the time (in early my 20's) letting me be completely in charge of decision making.
Generally both Asian men and women (from country) appear to me to display behaviours of extreme temperment polarization of either aggressivity or placidity...... I could not picture them in a town hall meeting, as an example, equally and patiently expressing their concerns without yelling by the most assertive while other opinions are suppressed.
Maybe the situation is different for Asian Americans (those of Asian ancestory raised strictly in American education system) or Eurasians who have mixed values from both parents. | |

Posted: 11/13/2009 12:50:41 PM | Having not only dated, but been engaged to a Korean woman at one time, I would say that MOST (not all - but fair to say most) white males find asian ladies attractive and desirable. For me personally there has always been an attraction, but no moreso than with any other race, as I have dated/been intimate with just about any race. I don't at all "hunt down" women of a specific skin tone, but do find that I enjoy the contrast when I've had it.
What I've found true to my experience is that asian women represent a wide variety of heritages. Korean, Chinese, Japanese, (and so on) are all entirely DIFFERENT in so many ways, yet most men view all asian races as about the same and have no idea whatsoever as to what makes each different. Granted, someone of asian decent that is born and raised in America with little or no heritage/cultural aspects of her particular race is more likely to be no different than a white or black or hispanic woman raised similarly here. Such was the case with my Korean ex. She was a beautiful, intelligent, sexy woman, but not "traditionally" asian in any way.
We (men) just think you're hot. Simple as that. | |

While I was on my break, my manager comes in and says "That guy is hot!" ~ I'm wondering who he's talking about and say "He's a gender bender?"
So, I walk over to my dept. and, sure enough, he's talking about the Asian woman. I was amazed that my manager and co-worker could tell he was a guy. Could have knocked me over with a feather ~ So gorgeous | |
