I haven't seen one in ages, but it could just be random. I realize "thanks, but no thanks" is a polite response, but so many people take that rejection badly and demand a reason or act in an insulting manner. So I think it's probably kinder not to respond at all. I've stopped if I'm not interested. If you don't hear back in 24 hours, you can assume she (or he) isn't interested.
