Posted: 7/15/2009 12:39:52 PM | The first time I heard an ashleymadison.com commercial on the radio, I would like to say I was thoroughly shocked and disgusted, but there’s so much debauchery in the world, it was almost as if the ad was just another huckster shilling for the big Monster Truck rally that’s comin’ to town…
“Cheat on your wife!! Cheat on your girlfriend! FIND a girlfriend that you CAN cheat on!! Yes, get your “poke on” this Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! at the Monster Turd rally! You’ll pay for her whole seat, but only use the edge!!!” 
Seriously, is it any great revelation that there’s a shitload of extremely fvcked up people out there whose behavior just makes your head assplode from the sheer inconceivability of it all? That’s why networks revel in the exploitation of these dysfunctional types and put them on television in the first place; rubbernecking has always been a ratings booster. (And that's why I watch Turner Classic Movies, PBS, and The Hitler Channel  ). | |

Just as a substance addiction, it has roots in filling a void, covering a pain, perhaps punishing oneself because thats what they feel they deserve...I believe that a woman who has taken these actions repeatedly has much more going on than just wanting to acheive sexual gratification, there are much larger psychological forces at work...I think the key to understanding a situation like this is empathy, for the woman who is obviously at a point in her life where she has lost control of herself, and needs help and support to come to terms with her issues. | |
