Then, puzzlingly, clothes start flying off not too long after. I used to devote a lot of time trying to root out the cause of that in an attempt to put a stop to it...but I decided some things are better left alone.

Posted: 9/13/2009 1:09:21 AM | I'm hetero so obviously I don't date Asian women but I've had many Chinese, Korean, Filipino, and Vietnamese female friends and co-workers who despite generally being diminuitive in stature were 10-feet-tall in strength of mind and purpose.
I wouldn't worry too much about all these alleged creeps on the loose coz it's a case of being careful what you wish for IMO. | |

Why is it a curse to be known to look at pretty women? How has this ruined your life? You said "curse". You didn't say "nusiance".
How is your life cursed? Do you wake up in the middle of the night with your German girlfriend and start screaming in Mandarin until she clobbers you with a hair brush? What is this curse thing? | |

Posted: 10/31/2009 8:39:01 PM | I understand what the OP on this thread is trying to say. I have given up answering questions about my last girlfriends (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). I don't have any particular attraction to asian girls. I did, however, live in Japan and Korea for six years. I remember being asked many, many times why I had asian girlfriends, the implication being yellow fever. My usual response to "Why do you have a Japanese girlfriend?" was "um... I live in Japan. The girls here are mostly Japanese." Apparently that made no sense. (Repeat situation and same question with slightly different answer for when I was in Korea)
It is pretty easy to get dumped into that rice king box. At first it was kind of funny, but now that I am back in Canada I just don't get it. I am getting pretty tired of being introduced to the only asian girl at the party ("This is So-Jeong, she's asian!"), I can only assume whoever the poor girl is, she's as uncomfortable as I am in that particular situation.
My experiences in Asia did curse me, if it is a curse to:
a) be on the constant lookout for good Hong Kong milk tea
b) try to find real Japanese food, and not some knock-off (I wanted to say, knock-off run by Chinese or Koreans, but the best sushi place I know in Canada is run by a proud Korean)
c) try and convince the nice lady at the Korean restaurant that I don't want white man spicy, but the real deal tongue like a sock numb spicy full Korean power
d) spend a lot of time studying linguistics as they relate to Chinese characters and their use in Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam and Korea
e) trying hopelessly to find a Japanese teacher here in Quebec city, because the university courses are at kiddy level
f) realize that I am not limited to dating white girls (this may seem somewhat childish, but before I lived in Asia, I just assumed Asian women were only interested in Asian men)
g) cry with pangs of hunger whenever I watch the first 10 minutes of "Eat Drink Man Woman"
h) sigh every time I walk into a camera store here in Canada, yearning for the days of the insane selections available in Osaka and Hong Kong
i) dream of a house with a Korean ondeol heating system, Japanese open concept architecture, Swedish furniture, all made with Canadian materials (especially the windows...)
j) etc. etc. | |

I beg your pardon , it is because we are nice, sweet ,kind and loving and we DON'T yell a man is j*rk or any name IN HIS FACE ,they can push us around ???? I don't know where you got that impression.. I've observed so many abused women, they are tall and big but they don't even know how to defend their self ..... Our company collect food donation during Christmas time from us employees to give to some women abused shelters.. We don't have abused women shelter in Asia
For the record, we Asian women knows how to *defend our self *and we know how to make our man docile. Yes I mean" docileee".. Divorce is not common to Asian women...

It's sad that so many American women today confuse "being a lady" with "being subservient." You'd probably have more/better relationships if you understood the distinction. | |
