Well, the RSVP response has been GREAT!!! I didn't expect to have over 100 people !! Wow!
Thank you to all the folks who posted kind words...and you are welcome to those who said 'thanks for organizing this'.
If this goes as smoothly as I imagine, then I shall have to organize another event!
I THINK IT IS VERY, VERY COOL THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRINK ANY ALCOHOL AT ALL AT THIS EVENT!!! YOU CAN ENJOY SODAS, JUICE, SHAKES!!! OR alcoholic beverages. 
I LOVE THAT YOU CAN ENJOY A SHAKE, AND MEET NEW FRIENDLY PEOPLE!!
You can take a look in advance at the Lounge Food Menu so you have an idea of the prices of food. just go to POPBURGER DOT COM
There will be a Food Sampling, as I've mentioned (many times LOL) but, it is for early at the event...between 4:30pm - 5:30pm--SOMETIME DURING THIS FIRST HOUR OF THE EVENT. I cannot honestly imagine that every single one of us will be able to have free samples, so I am making a point of mentioning this because I do not want you to be disappointed, or have any misconceptions. YOU CAN PURCHASE WHATEVER FOOD IS ON THE LOUNGE MENU, SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE ACCESS TO FOOD for purchase.
I hope you are able to arrive early enough to enjoy some of the Complimentary Food Samples. It is the very first time I've organized a POP BURGER LOUNGE event, so i don't know what the Sample Food Tray will be like in terms of QUANTITY!---I guess we will all find out together!! The food is good, tho! AND there will be fries and onion rings in addition to that Sample Food Tray.

WITH THIS LARGE A CROWD, A FRIENDLY REMINDER--We all want to enjoy the time we spend at the Lounge, so please remember to treat everyone with respect. If it is crowded, please don't push! REMEMBER, WE ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION!!

The Food Sampling---I've just emailed back/forth w/POP BURGER and here is the direct quote from the email I received from my contact person:
"And i will definetly increase the food passing if most show in the first hour. "
----this is in regard to that Food Sampling Tray I've been harping on LOL
SO, EVERYONE, PLEASE DO COME ON OVER AND RELAX AND ENJOY!! If you are able to arrive in the first hour--that means between 4:30pm - 5:30pm, you will help to up our chances for more Food Sampling!!!
AND PLEASE DO RSVP DIRECTLY ON THE EVENT INVITE. CLICK ON THAT "I WILL ATTEND, OR COUNT ME IN BUTTON. WHATEVER THE HECK THAT BUTTON SAYS...PLEASE FIND IT AND CLLICK. This helps me to update the POP Burger People so they can plan accordingly!!

There is a saying: "Expect nothing, and you will never be disappointed".
I did not expect over 100 people to be attending this event...I was hoping for about 1/3 of that number. I can tell you that there will NOT be a food sampling for 100 people, or even 50 people. I do not want you to think that there is lots of free food. THERE IS NOT. There will be a complimentary sampling but it will not accommodate everyone. So, please understand that if you want to purchase food from the menu, you will be able to do that. You might even luck out, and be one of the lucky ones to enjoy a bit of the food sampling, but please do not have the expectation of free food, okay? That way, no one will be disappointed.
Thank you for understanding. I do not think that your main goal was free food. I just want everyone to understand the situation. IF you have any questions, please ask them in this thread, and I will answer as soon as I can. THANK YOU. | |
