Yep.... UCLA played better than I thought they would..... But I don't think the Vols are going to lay down for the Gators.

The Gators haven't impressed.... at home, and with that team... they should beat Tennessee.... But look at their slow starts to two nobody schools. If the Vols can get up on them.... It might be a defensive game the rest of the way.

Stanford was the big let down this weekend... Up 21-3 at half and blowing that game (21-24? I think) something like that, they did nothing in the second half.

USC and OSU was a scary game.... Not sure it was exciting (I was too nervous... LOL).... But it must have been noisy in the Horseshoe last night. It actually ended in the best way possible.... Barkley bringing the team out of the shadow of his own end zone to win that in that atmosphere.

Michigan and Notre dame was about as exciting as Florida State and Miami the week before.... I think Michigan will give OSU and PSU a game.

Georgia and South Carolina was a good exciting game as well.

I can't wait for USC at Washington..... I don't think that will be a push over.... Washington is looking good.

Big Red is in big trouble on Saturday. They are heading out to the Virginia country to play the Gobblers. Freshmen LB's against Tyrod Taylor. Thinking about DVR'ng this one then catching the final score.

Michigan 2-0 ranked # 25 with a bullet.
Freshman Forcier looks terrific so far and if they ever figure out how to get their back up freshman QB Denard Robinson on the field at the same time with Forcier this offense will be light out.

Big Red will be just fine, Pelini has been down playing them for a while. If Zac Lee can handle the road game we will be just fine.

The spread on this game is insane....Tennessee + 28.5 . I know Florida is good , but jeez.. LSU is favored by just 25 against UL Lafayette .

Florida will cover that spread. I say Florida wins by 6 to 7 touchdowns easy.
Tennessee has no QB and is not competitive this year and Florida will blitz him.
Florida's defense will score 1 maybe 2 touchdowns and set up a couple of more.
The Vols are Gator Bait.

I don't think so mgmlion

Florida is good, and I know they are playing in the swamp.... But I don't see them covering that spread, well, maybe barely.... Tennessee is a little better than what you think.... and Florida hasn't played anyone yet.... Because of the Kiffin/Meyer controversy, I think Florida will be up for the game.... and won't have a let down..... But still

Fla 45 Tennessee 17 (which misses by .5)

the vols will be lucky to stay within 20 points of the gators, we just arent that good this year, i mean our qb sucks, how do we not have anybody better? watching this guy play is like a cowboys fan watching them in the playoffs, you just dont feel good about the outcome, lol. oh well maybe my vols can pull off a huge upset, but i doubt it, maybe we should just put eric berry at qb, that kid is a beast.

Win or lose Dallas is competitive in the playoffs.
This Tenn / Fla game will be lopsided.
I say Florida by 38

Tennessee will get blown out and get no bowl game. Two losses in a row after week 3.

It used to decide who would win the sec east and play in the sec championship game.

Looking at the top 3 Florida, Texas and USC... I was wondering how USC could break in to the top 2?

The top 2 come from conf. with 12 teams, that play 4OOC and don't play 3 teams in their conf's. And then play this extra Conf. Championship game. So I decided to set up a Pac-West conf.... adding two good schools. And this is what I came up with.

Pacific-West Conference (An example of an SEC or BIG12 type conf.)

North
Boise State
BYU
Oregon
Oregon State
Washington
Washington State

South
Arizona
Arizona State
California
Stanford
UCLA
USC

Setting up the PAC10 like the SEC adding two good teams... BYU and Boise State.

Now showing how USC's sched. could look... like a Florida's sched. in the SEC... playing 4 OCC, 1 decent team like {unranked} Florida State and 3 mediocre teams like Charleston Southern, Troy and Florida Intl.

Florida's sched.
Charleston So., Troy, Tenn., Kentucky, #9LSU, Ark., Miss St., #23Georgia, Vandy, So. Carolina, Florida Intl, Florida State

SC sched. (in new conf set-up to match Florida's)
No. Arizona, San Jose State, Arizona, Stanford, #8California, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State,#24 (CP) Oregon State, UCLA, Idaho State, Notre Dame. (This replaces #11Ohio State & Oregon with No. Arizona & Idaho State)

But, then they would play a Championship game (#10Boise State, #7BYU or probably Oregon) of the North Div.

So you replace #11Ohio State and Oregon with just one tough match-up in a Championship

SC plays #8Cal, Notre Dame & #24Oregon State...... (Arizona, Washington, Arizona State, UCLA & Stanford)....... Then #7BYU, #10Boise State or Oregon in the Championship.

Just like Florida plays #9LSU, #23Georgia, Florida State..... (Tennessee, So. Carolina, Arkansas, UK & Vandy)..... Then #4Bama or #5Ole Miss in the Championship.

Honestly.... This is a weaker sched.... for USC.... the main difference is playing No. Arizona instead of #11Ohio State.... Not to mention the Home/Away game challenge on SC's sched. this year. and the lack of that challenge for Florida.

I'm only laying out the differences of USC and Florida's sched's for this year... and for the rankings this year.... (Texas could have been done as well....). As we play the games through the season, it will be interesting how this is all read by the pollsters.... and it all relies on all 3 being undefeated.... Which will not be as easy for SC as it will for Florida and Texas. But either can slip up. Especially Texas who plays a weaker Texas tech at home..... and Oklahoma may not recover from injuries, But at Oklahoma State will be a test. And they can't go to sleep at Baylor and at Missouri.

SC went into Ohio State and won.... Now they go into Washington... Then.... at California.... at Notre Dame.... Oregon State.... then at Oregon.... and at Arizona State.... (Cal , Oregon, Oregen State & Notre Dame are the toughest.... But Washington and Arizona State is no cake walk at home)

I'm thinking with the sched.... and other circumstances.... both Texas and Florida should go undefeated... unless they really mess up.

Personally, I would like to see all 3 undefeated at the end of the year... and see what happens.

that would be a great idea jack, that way i dont have to hear people whine about how the sec gets helped by playing a conference champ. game. ask alabama how that conf. champ. game helped them? but it would be intresting to add 2 teams in the pac10. i would like to see every conf. have a champ. game, i think it makes it fairer for those who do play one. also u said u dont know how usc will break into the top 2, dont start wondering yet, there is still a long season left. florida still has tuff games and so does texas, so u never know. also i have pointed this out before usc wasnt in the top2 before and got a share of the nat. championship. look last year when the gators lost to ole miss, most everyone thought that was the end of them, turns out ole miss was pretty good, so u never know , theres alot of football left to b played my freind, but great idea about adding those 2 teams, that would make it intresting for sure
