All nose and lip piercings. And then one of my biggest peeves are the little studs that i've seen in the nose. It ends up looking like a little chrome acne.
I hate that too, and I have my nose pierced! I always wear a jewel, preferably colored so it doesn't look like part of my body. NEVER red, that just looks like a pimple. My favorites are my prism and my blue one.
It's all in how you wear them. Some nose piercings I've seen are tacky, anything like a ladybug or a flower or anything big, just looks bad. But most people like mine, even my mom who usually hates them, lol.

A penis one would freak me out. My ex wanted me to lick his nipple ring and I was grossed out. Tongue ain't bad. Just really bad while it's still healing. I don't mind the second and third ear piecing, the eyebrow is ok. Lip is gross, middle of the nose is gross. Anywhere weird is gross.

I sometimes find that they can ruin what is otherwise a really beautiful face for me! The exception is when women have nose piercings for cultural reasons I guess, it's as if on some unconcious level you just see past it if you know it's not just there for show. :)
It's probably worth mentioning that I don't think this is by any means the case with every girl. I think they can look nice on a minority of people, but in general I'd rather they didn't have a big hoop through their lip or a stud in their nose that looks like a zit from a distance. :-)

Posted: 7/20/2009 5:38:56 AM | | I don't mind the location of most piercings, but what I don't like are the larger sized rings or studs that some people wear in the piercing. I mean, who needs a ring the size of a wedding band dangling from their lip or eyebrow? A small jeweled stud can actually be quite attractive.

Posted: 7/20/2009 5:44:31 AM | | I agree with the statement, I don't think body peircing is about " looking better" I think for most it adds an air of sexy or edgyness. And for that alone I say be open minded, don't knock it till you try it. My peircings totally enhance my sexlife! That is an unexpected plus, since I got them because they made me feel excited and a little on the badside...

I am SO sorry I went and looked that up. Damn my curious nature and desire to always be learning new things!!!!!
OP...guess I'm pretty old fashioned. Most piercings (with the exception of ears and belly button) just gross me out!

Posted: 7/20/2009 7:54:12 AM | Nothing wrong with piercings at all as long as they are tastefull and not so many in one general are. I like them but wouldnt date a girl with 3 eyeybrow rings a libret, a marilyn monroe and 2 cheek piercings. Pinhead is cool but hes not my type... Nipple piercings are hot on any girl, more should do them. Never seen anything down south on a woman done but I hear it can be magical for them. Septum is ugly, I dont like, I wont deal with it any thing else is ok as long as its tastefull. Tounge piercings are the new ear piercings, there hot and they serve a purpose... They relieve bordom.. I still play with mine from 13 years ago...

Posted: 7/20/2009 7:03:46 PM | Hey now! hah just kidding, I guess I should have expected seeing these results when I wandered into this thread, but I have a dainty septum piercing. I only mostly like it on girls as a small gauge seamless ring (like I have), though I've seen some who rocked it traditional style.
I don't think any piercing is ugly...it just depends on who is wearing it and how.

| what do you feel is the most UNATTRACTIVE piercing commonly done today? Posted: 7/20/2009 7:21:43 PM | I met a lady last year who showed us her new piercings...not that I wanted to see them. Both nipples (of which she pulled out her breasts), and then explained to us that she had her her labia (just above her clitorus) pierced so that she could hook up 2 chains from her nipples through her bottom half so that her husband could pull on them. My God...she was 48 years old!?!?!?!
My daughter (who was 14 at the time) without my permission came home with her tongue pierced. So I read the "how to take care of your piercing" sheet, which distinctly outlined that there is to be NO dairy product consumed for the next 48 hours. I then proceeded to make her favorite pudding, milkshakes and lasagna for dinner. She wasn't feeling very well when I took her to the hospital later that night. Next time...listen to your mother.
The piercing that really drives me nuts is the large earring hoops that are put inside your earlobes. The tongue piercing, such as my daughters have been now removed with no visual damage...however those huge suckers...think of how that is going to look when your 50.
I had my third piercing done when I turned 50. I now have my one ear pierced 2 times. I figured that I would be able to wear the one earring, that I lost my mate to years ago. Damn it, as soon as I had it done, I LOST that earring.

Wow, you're a jacked up mom. Too hard to just take it back out, I guess? lol

Posted: 7/20/2009 8:02:48 PM | I have a guy friend who has both nipple done and an ampallang... and he wants to add an apadravya to go with it (I'll save ya the search it's the same as the ampallang, but in the perpendicular direction, forming an *X* ).
I haven't had an *ick* reaction to any piercing I've seen.. I do question why some people get the things they get... and TOO many is gross tho. If I see more metal than skin, I'm definitely icked out.

| what do you feel is the most UNATTRACTIVE piercing commonly done today? Posted: 7/20/2009 10:27:06 PM | Eyebrow piercings have to the most unsightly, but when one thinks of nose piercings, especially ring-through-septum... can that be sanitary? Like the Biblical dietary laws, there are also laws against decorating and/or mutilating the human body, for good reason (with one exception in men, which that did make sense before modern hygiene.) If it ain't broke, don't fix it. | |

| what do you feel is the most UNATTRACTIVE piercing commonly done today? Posted: 7/20/2009 10:43:29 PM | This is my second time around on the site, and I've been holding off from posting... but this one got me.
I would have to say, the most unattractive to me is any facial piercing on a person who does not have really great skin. If your complexion is beautifully smooth, facial piercings can be lovely decorations of the beauty you already have. I still don't like them much, even then - why gild the lily? - but I actively object to them on persons who do not have great skin.
My own is nice enough, not great, not bad either, but I would never, even if I were younger. I think a facial piercing of any kind really requires a fantastic complexion. And if you don't have that, IMO, don't do it. It only draws attention to flaws that otherwise would be thoroughly minor and even unnoticeable.
I can't think how many times I've seen a nose ring or stud on someone with blackheads, and wondered to myself, what were you thinking?
On the other hand, years ago, I knew this one girl who had really even features and spectactular complexion, like silk velvet, and she had a lot of facial piercings. On her they were just pretty decoration. I preferred her without them, but they were truly pretty, on her. It wouldn't have worked for anyone else.
