I also find the septum piercing unattractive. As far as less visible piercings go, I think I'd be bothered by nipple piercings. I'm not sure about a pierced labia or clitoral hood. I've never encountered those in real life. | |

I agree with all of that EXCEPT the septum piercing. For reasons I
can't explain, I find that a woman with a septum piercing to be HIGHLY
erotic. To me, such a piercing indicates a very submissive slave-girl.
Other piercings, excluding perhaps SOME ear piercings, are TOTALLY
**OFFENSIVE** to me. Sex appeal in such situations is helplessly
NON-EXISTANT.

Some of us actually enjoy tattooes and piercings and find it attractive on the men too.
I am not a huge fan of genital piercings, althou I love my tattoos and piercings.
I have just a naval, a tragus, and a microdermal. Tattooes , well thats a different story. I collect them. I love them. I do them for myself and believe it or not, alot of men find them attractive. Of course some dont, but they are usually not the type of guy I would find myself interested in anyway so all is good.

Posted: 8/25/2009 2:57:49 PM | Most of you all are just commenting on BIZARRE piercings. The OP solicited opinions on the unattractive COMMON piercings. It's pretty safe to state that genital piercings are NOT common. What's common? Maybe at least 5-10% of people. Something that you might see every day on someone who passes you on the street. I don't really think nipple piercings are that common and generally they ain't generally visible.
I'm not much of a body art fan. It's a miracle for a guy who isn't a body art fan to find an attractive woman who he wants to date and then discover she's inkless with no tattoos in hidden places, and not pierced.
Anyhoo, on topic, this one is pretty much true for both genders, and they are fairly common. Any facial piercings. Nose rings. Nose studs. Eyebrow rings. Lip rings. Anything in the tongue. | |

The nose, OMG! so gross to even think about, in lip or tongue, yuck, no thanks I don't even want to get near it and in the face in general looks like a bad accident and again, wouldn't want to get anywhere near it much less touch. I fear for earrings also, too many things can go wrong, plus I do not like earrings on men, personal turn off. At least if the piercing are elsewhere than the face, I don't have to look at them.
This question is not about who's narrow minded, it's asking about personal preferences. I don't go around telling people what I think of their piercings, that's their choice, but I also don't date people with them then try to change them and I'm sure not going to date someone who thinks they need to teach me a lesson in why I should like their piercings, I don't like them, they disgust me. I'm fat, people who are disgusted by my fat should not date me, it's that simple. I don't need to tell them they are narrow minded because we don't attract each other, or that there's something wrong with them for not accepting my fatness, I get why they aren't attracted to fat or how it might disgust them. One has an issue if they need everyone to approve of them or how they look, life doesn't work that way, someone somewhere is going to find you unattractive/un-dateable no matter what you look like. It's really none of your business if someone isn't interested in you, and why would you care? People can honestly answer this post without being told off by someone not happy with the answers. :wink: :laugh: | |

i say the ring through the septum of the nose is by far the least attractive, hanging off the tip of the nose like an unwiped blob of mucous. cows have them so the farmer can lead them to milking or slaughter.
I am in full agreement. And your description of what it looks like is exactly what I always think when I see it.
I also think those gigantic (as in larger than an Oreo cookie) pegs in the ears are a close second. Yeah, when the pegs are removed and that droopy, wrinkly skin is exposed ... oh, yeah, that's neat.

Posted: 8/26/2009 9:56:47 AM | I'm not big on the face-full-of-metal or the stretched look. Eyebrow piercings, to me, make the person look like they are in pain all the time. A few piercings are perfectly OK. If your genitals are so heavily pierced that I would need to bring a cutting torch and excavation equipment, we won't get along.
I don't mind tattoo's either unless you are doing something extreme like a full body tatt. If you are tattooing your face due to medical reasons, that's different. I only have 1 small Tatt which I got with an Ex-GF some years ago. (She wanted to mark me as hers, LOL).
Unless my name is on your Birth Certificate, it's none of my business what you do with YOUR body. Adorn it, or not, as you see fit. If my name is on your Birch certificate and we are dating then we have far more serious issues to be discussing. lol

That doesn't make sense to me.
See, I find the belly button to be the most disgusting part of a woman's body. BB gross me out more than any piercing ever will. I'd rather see a pretty piece of jewelery than a bb .
As far as piercings, well none grosses me out, I like them all. Now too many aren't attractive to me.
I'm a certified piercer so I've done and seen pretty much everything.

Wrong. It depends on size and shape of the tongue, placement of the piercing, and if the person has enough self control to not chew on it constantly.
I know several people who've had their tongue pierced for 15-20 years and it has not at all affected their teeth. On the other hand, I had to take mine out because i couldn't stop biting it, chewing on it, and i did mess up one of my tooth. | |
