Posted: 11/11/2009 6:34:35 AM | Yeah I'd say the large gauge piercings, I have a friend who's got small ones and they look ok, but if he goes any bigger I just don't think they look nice. I hate it when you can see their ear lobes flapping about!!!.
On the whole though, I am a fan of piercings and tattoo's. I think heavily tattoo'd women can look hot, if its done tastefully. I have a few tattoo's myself but they're all easily covered up and I can wear a vest in the summer and non are showing. I love nipple piercings on women and men, and would really like mine done but have never got around to it. It wouldnt be a sexual thing, just something that I really like the look of myself. | |

Posted: 11/11/2009 1:28:03 PM | I don't care for most facial piercings. I think they just look silly. Especially on the lip or the nose. I saw a girl with a nose ring and it had a little ball on it. It looked like she had a booger hanging. Not attractive. And as far as the tongue, your mouth has so many germs in it I've heard of infections being bad. And your tongue is a muscle, not a piece of skin like everything else.
Belly button rings look good on girls with sexy bellies. Ears, as long as it isn't too much or too big.
As for tattooes, I got one a few months ago, and I love it. It's beautiful, and I want another. | |

Posted: 11/11/2009 1:30:16 PM | Lately I'm starting to wonder if the lower lip isn't even worse than the septum bullring. A very pretty young woman I know recently got her lip double-pierced, putting in two big, heavy, banded rings, and it is just awful. And obviously it's going to hurt her teeth eventually, and maybe her boyfriend's teeth as well.
Said boyfriend encouraged her to get this, and I hafta wonder if that wasn't just a little bit to keep other guys from wanting to kiss her. It seriously looks that bad - and he's the only one who claims to like it on her. Her face is small and delicate, with soft, rounded features (and, prior to this, a beautiful mouth), and this big ugly piercing dominates it completely. | |

Posted: 11/11/2009 2:27:29 PM | The only piercings I've ever seen that I though looked nice were belly buttons. Ears are kind of neutral to me. Everything else is in differing degrees unattractive. Some people really go over the top with it. It looks like they got hit in the face by a buckshot load of Wal-Mart jewelry.
Then there are those things that people put inside of their earlobes that makes a gigantic hole. I think mostly guys do that one, but I just can't even stand to look at somebody like that long enough to have a conversation. Just go ahead and put the plate in your lip and be done with it.
I also find it puzzling how many more people are turned off by piercings than tats. I don't like either, but at least you can undo the piercings for the most part. | |

Oh wow, I could have gone my WHOLE life and not seen that and died happy! Icky! Ditto. I was gonna say the worse piercing I have ever seen was the 'bone through the septum' nose piercing but there are piercings on here that I haven't even heard of or seen.
I saw on television a guy who had spikes embedded into his head and had the spikes piercing the skin of head to look like a spike mohawk. | |

As a woman, I would never get anything else peirced..all I have is my navel and ears.
Soooo, piercings for purely decorative, or artistic purposes are okay? I do think that navel dangly things are pretty cute if the setting, the background, is also eye candy. But I have talked with women who had nipple and hood ornaments, and when I asked them why they would endure pain for the sake of "art", they each laughed at my naivete. Those particular locations, they patiently explained, are pierced for the continuous pleasure sensations that follow, every day, pretty much all day.
I had to thank 'em for, you know, helping me grow up a little. lol | |

Especially the tongue...I just really do not want to have to think about what you do with it every time you talk! I have a VERY vivid imagination, I don't need the constant visual images!]
I agree Genital Piercing is not my cup of tea.
