Posted: 7/22/2009 10:15:18 PM | Kindness is rarer than some people seem to think. Sometimes it takes a lot to be kind -- I doubt any of us can always be kind, no matter what the circumstance... The list is not as modest as it may first appear.
Looks obviously do matter a bit. Admit it -- if she was 9ft tall and looked exactly like a cacti -- her warm heart and humour might win your friendship, but would it ever be more than this. Same applies if she was 98yrs old, or 2, or actually male -- there has to be some romantic attraction in order for your relationship to be romantic, rather than just companionable or comradely. | |

Let's be a little more honest...
1.) Self-validation. Frankly, most guys rush into relationships simply to defeat their single status. Having a trophy sex-partner ensures that all your buddies won't call you a loser.
2.) Unrelenting mutual obsession. Men are conditioned not to put their emotions up for display, so when they finally do come to surface, you're automatically consigned to a contract which explicitly forbids you to leave, compromise the feelings of, or otherwise dishonor your man.
3.) Sex; unless he's a eunuch. | |

Posted: 7/23/2009 6:54:38 AM | A half way decent body. There has to be some physical attraction and for me, obesity just is not appealing. A few extra pounds, various wrinkles and whatnot, not a big deal. Obesity though, not for me. If she is active, all the better!
An open and active mind. I don't really care if a woman agrees with my views on various topics, but I love to have good conversation with someone whom could not tell me who won American Idol last year if their life depended on it, but can talk about the world, politics, random life experiences, etc. If you think Sheri Smith from 'The View' is an intelligent role model, you are not for me.
Not clingy. If you need 3 calls a day or get mad when I don't return your calls during work hours, I am not for you. If the thought of me enjoying silence drives you insane, we are not compatible. | |

Dont believe a word of what OP said Many men, as you ladies well know, are driven by there rampaging hormones, nothing, and I mean nothing else matters to this lot....which is why this ilk are best avoided - and they be easily spotted..oddly its based on looks or prettiness of pictures cleavage legs easiness etc.
Mind you the elusive slipper wearer has a penchant for what OP said and its probably true for many guys.

2 If on parole should have good lawyer.
3 Kids are ok...but you must prove they are yours.
4 No moustache or side burns.
5 Must not belong to a Communist or Nazi party.
6 I must know your stage name if you're a former stripper.
7 Your family from Eastern Europe can't move in with us.
8 One or two pets ok...not 20.
9 Credit card with no debts useful if I ever need it.
10 And finally...must not have weird noticeable lump in crotch when wearing pants.
Oh...I forgot...and must also be able to speak English reasonably or communicate with sign language as I am from an Italian background.

Number one..... Kindness this is essential when things really get rough in life and they do more times than not.
Number two..... A good sense of humor..... somebody who will keep him laughing in good times and bad
Number three... Honesty..... We men need our feet held to the fire whether we admit it or not.

You must mean the kind of sense of humor to shrug off all the times a man screws up. Honesty?
