Posted: 7/23/2009 5:12:22 PM | Do you remember the good ole days when there were only books written by women for women about men detailing what it takes to get a man and keep him? Well now there are books written by men for women telling them what they need to know to get inside a man's head to keep him happy!
Spare me all this garbage ..It becomes a game and then once the ring is on the finger .. the worm turns so to speak. Both sexes get exactly what they deserve. Each and everyone of us is an individual and what works for you may not work for me. I believe I can send a fairly clear message to someone I am interested in what I like and don't like without hitting him on the head with it and if he choses to ignore what makes me tic ... well then not meant to be.

We say: "kindness ... sense of humor ... honesty"

We say: "sincerity ... fun loving ... not into drama"

Looks have never been a real big thing with me as I have dated all types of men from short and balding to tall and handsome and they all had the above listed things in common which is why I was attracted to them in the first place. He said, that's what a man wants in a 'mate'.
Now, that makes more sense. Don't most guys want their buddies to have a sense of humor as well as being hones. The kindness part may not be so usual, but it also explains the absence of looks. ;-) | |

1) Sex (and looks is part of that because she at least has to be attractive enough physically to give him a woody, which is necessary for sex).
2) Companionship (a woman to keep him company when he's eating out, going to the movies, and anything else that takes him out of his home except for work).
3) A maid (someone to cook for him and clean up after him).

1.) Self-validation. Frankly, most guys rush into relationships simply to defeat their single status. Having a trophy sex-partner ensures that all your buddies won't call you a loser.
2.) Unrelenting mutual obsession. Men are conditioned not to put their emotions up for display, so when they finally do come to surface, you're automatically consigned to a contract which explicitly forbids you to leave, compromise the feelings of, or otherwise dishonor your man.
3.) Sex; unless he's a eunuch.
Ah, number 1 is so very, very true. (That's why I am taking it slow with someone new....to make sure I'm not just a "rebound".)
Number 2 is something that took me a few years to learn.
Number 3 is important to me too, so we're good there. | |
