| out on a limb to reach Posted: 8/28/2005 12:09:36 PM | 4229 Memory of Mind 29 August 2005
A girl in a tree branching out in spirit of love This girl of kind and heart clambering to those heights above
With flowers in her hand and a smile on her face All of being a girl in kindness - attitude and grace
Her beauty - her present maid going out on a limb to reach So wonderful as she picks from fresh blossom borne a peach
Fruit of goodness tree of find So glamorous in images to see all held within memory of mind
"To fulfil a dream, to be allowed to sweat over lonely labor, to be given the chance to create, is the meat and potatoes of life. The money is the gravy. As everyone else, I love to dunk my crust in it. But alone, it is not a diet designed to keep body and soul together." Bette Davis, The Lonely Life, 1962 US movie actress (1908 - 1989)

So, the very next morning, she tells her husband that she stayed at her girlfriend's apartment over night. The husband calls 10 of her best girlfriends, and none of them confirms that his wife over night with one of them. Men: A husband was not at home for a whole night. | spontaneous lil write time....finally lol Posted: 8/29/2005 3:03:35 AM | Angels fly on golden wing Sun glinting in absolute brilliance Symetrical perfection High above They take flight With true meaning and direction Can I ever hope to be So angelic and flying free What is my true destiny I wonder as the rain comes Softly cascading In rivulets Down late summer windows curtains drawn Do we sometimes draw too many lines for ourselves I pick up a book from one of my shelves And leaf through it page by page Are we fearfully living in shadows Or on a bright lighted stage Its up to us If we have the guts To go for what is real Follow what you feel Fly above it all On golden guilded wing With true angelic passion And mend your broken wings

| spontaneous lil write time....finally lol Posted: 8/29/2005 3:09:52 AM | Music washes over me In waves of memories Serene and beautiful Like dancers on a stage My thoughts spin around Im dizzy and falling Deeper into this place My memory holds dearly what time cant erase It cant take hold Of this artists canvas Unbattered by time Safely hidden pictures In the attic of my mind These sweetly savored thoughts The darkness cant get through Whenever Im afraid I just think of you And instantly Im there I know I really shouldnt But sometimes I go back there To that warm and tender place To touch up with my artists brush What time so selfishly tries to erase
^^Thanks poet...That means alot to me:)

Each day she returns to sight In opening her messages from the darkness of night
Each ray of sunshine or was that in email number nine

| Everyone else is doin it....I want a thread too lol Posted: 8/29/2005 1:02:25 PM | There's no such thing as coincidence.. people meet for a special reason whatever that maybe.. Some people come into our lives and quickly go... Some people move our souls to dance... They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon... They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same...... never ever the same....

| Everyone else is doin it....I want a thread too lol Posted: 8/29/2005 1:29:27 PM | I am happy Kat, you did enjoy my poem about emails - because it was all in fun , I wrote this poem - and if there were a girl like that - I think I might find other qualities in her that would shine brighter that the moon on a sunny day. Only if she did open her messages, the chance might be a copy of the same poem would be inside. Much like a certain man sitting on a bench with his box of chocolates. Life is like that too.
As for conisidences - my life is full of them - over and over again [good write babybear ]

| What can someone compose in 6 minutes and 47 seconds? Posted: 8/29/2005 2:16:17 PM | ---------------------------------------------------- What can someone compose in 6 minutes and 47 seconds? The answer my forum buddies is upon this page of inscription. Only there goes the question of effort - like to the closing statement of my verse -
While in 6 minutes and 47 seconds (I know this because I made the decision to do something I had never done when I set a stopwatch before I began to record the very words that were already by then repeating from within my mind) I did stop to listen - wiped away all other forms of thought and transfer each word into its written form.
First there was one line and the next, and surprising for me the title of this works was what transpired shortly there after. Often I would pause over this brief period and return to the top of the page in reading each of those words one more time. As line upon line they increased in value - then I stopped once more to listen for another word to come down.
So did I write this myself - in the physical realm - I cannot deny such tactic - I cannot back away from what will feature below in relation to my own subconscious?
Then what does a person do, if upon placing the final line - or even before those words are transferred from a still small voice into the visible outcome obtain by backing away from what has been presented to them in its final concluded form.
3865 Oh Where 02 March 2005
Where does the danger begin and life take on its own quest Given there is Monday to Saturday with one day known as “the day of rest”
Oh how I think about stars in the sky where this place of tomorrow doth come To be there a day of my own life transformed in union of one
An ode to hope desire and a dream across an azure sky Leaving my own comforts now this you may wonder why
Idaho - oh Idaho or Florida near the sea On a beach somewhere just only you and me

“Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.” Psalms 18: 35 KJV
Did I compose the above? Did I truly mean what it says? Of one of these questions I can answer, the other is almost as if you have already realised upon that answer. Is my world moving too fast for me? Of the last few days to the conclusion of this week – perhaps it is. Not that I have not been down a similar driveway before, not that I have had to face up to a metaphor of such indication. In creating what I call a fireproof memory, because flames to paper – or a delete key would be a solution to such dilemma.

*There is another answer to that of interpretation-does it have to be you, or God, for wheresoever I go, the Savior would be at my side!!! - and this did not come to me by way of the same still small voice, until some time had passed from the composing of my completed works. Where not a word was ever changed in the act of composing to now. Yet such an answer is in the choice of scripture I was given to make, and this in general is how I have written the majority of my material all these years past.

| now for something different Posted: 8/29/2005 2:50:26 PM | I apologize in advance for this post, Kat - and will retire after this - so others can also use the rest of this page - when the question remains - would you and others on POF understand this works - when this is an example of why I am "poet to the cars" - the motor racing I write my Supercar Ballads is in a following of the Australia V8 Supercar Championship Series I live in New Zealand - a V8 Supercar is either one of two makes - a Ford Falcon {a product of Ford Australia} or Holden Commodore {developed and build by Holden Ltd - formally known as General Motors - Holden's in Australia}
K = kilometer in US English (or kilometre in AUS/NZ/UK English and French )
2641 Two Zero’s Short 04 April 2003
First there was Craig Lowndes holden to Mount Panorama In Nineteen Ninety Four leading the great race briefly in the Bathurst drama
A teenager or not much more racing around the six point two K circuit in a V8 Supercar A rookie but still almost shining the light on par
After ducking under the Ford Falcon of John Bowe To take the front of Australia’s best accelerating in Chevrolet power
Only to fall back into becoming second best Yet in the time ahead victorious on the podium rest
Obtaining the triple three in the year of Nineteen Ninety Six And off to Europe to encounter a Formula 3000 fix
Returning to Australia to again with Greg Murphy be at Sandown first Drafted back into the hold of the premiere racing team’s thirst
A second Australian Touring Car Championship Lowndes loyal reward God knows he was one day to unite with Australia’s Ford
Holden to the crown in Nineteen Ninety Eight and Nine Being there in guiding Mark Skaife on the Two Thousand Mountain climb
Until the shock of a nation was to be heard To be in Two Thousand and One where ‘Ford’ for Lowndes was the word
An initiation from within Gibson Motorsport Later discussed in matters of court
The organisation adding double zero to their name Since Lowndes had made this his racing number to claim
Only after two seasons to have a falling out Regardless of what this had really been about
To be recruited for Ford’s "super team" In another angle added to the desire and dream
A Prodrive happening in Ford Falcon’s of three Back from the Pacific nearing the Tasman Sea
Given the sponsorship of CAT Racing being in Western Australia born Before finding a Queensland home much in its dawn
Now obtaining a Victorian place on the Bass Strait Leaving the double zero’s to their own fate
As if circles do turn the way John Bowe had With the number six hundred much of the fade
Taking upon the number triple eight Emailed in an Aussie venture as Brad Jones mate
Then at Glenn Seton’s place the number six was seen as spare Thus out were the hundreds in zeros minus the pair
For Craig Lowndes to in Two Thousand and Three Wrestling the CAT in a Ford centred with a ‘P’
Not only did Craig Lowndes give up his #00 upon moving from the Ford operation of 00 Motorsport [the number becoming the domain of Greg Ritter in his role of replacing Lowndes] to Ford Performance Racing [FPR] in 2003. The use of #600 on the CAT Racing Ford Falcon as was in the past [said to denote the 600 horsepower of a V8 Supercar] was absent from the new CAT Falcon. John Bowe being the original driver of the #600 Falcon both in its Western Australian start up and the beginnings of Briggs Motorsport Queensland operation. Having gone to Brad Jones Racing [OzEmail] organisation in 2002 where Bowe raced under the #888 on a Ford Falcon [and Ferrari in the Nations Cup competition].
The CAT sponsorship being obtained by the newly organised Glenn Seton/Ford Credit Racing. Purchased in 2003 by the British based Prodrive organisation and set up under the name Ford Performance Racing [FPR] along with Ford Performance Vehicles [FPV]. In the Craig Lowndes Ford Falcon making use of #6 previously utilised on the Ford Tickford Racing [FTR] Falcon from the days of a two car Seton team, having undergone several name changes within the organisation. Therefore in effect the CAT entry had gone from #600 to #6. Craig Lowndes thus “two zero’s short” [twice over].
Along with Glenn Seton maintaining his Ford Credit sponsorship on the #5 Ford Falcon. A third member of the FPR team was David Besnard having moved from Stone Brothers Racing, to adapt to racing the #19 Ford Falcon. A racing number in the past being used occasionally by the Ford team of Dick Johnson [Shell] Racing [DJR]. The #600 being no longer used as it was owned by Briggs Motorsport.
The irony was that by 2005 Craig Lowndes had joined the Triple Eight team - and this was a team that was British owned and had purchased Briggs Motorsport by way of entering the main game of premier motor racing in Australia - some say is the Worlds best touring car category.
Additional footnotes:
In 1996 Craig Lowndes became the second person to achieve the ‘triple crown’: earning the Australian Touring Car Championship, Sandown 500 victory and winning the Bathurst 1000 [with Greg Murphy] in the same calendar year. Peter Brock being the first to do this [twice in 1978 and 1980]. Lowndes racing F3000 in Europe in 1997.
In 2001 three time Australian touring car champion [1996, 1998 and 1999] Craig Lowndes signed with Ford. Moving out of the Holden Racing Team [HRT] where his V8 Supercar status had first been established. In turn the Gibson Motorsport operation abandoned their Holden campaign to set up a new Ford team with Lowndes as their lead driver. Changing its name to 00 Motorsport in 2002 in the absence of Fred Gibson in relation to the #00 Craig Lowndes then raced under.
The CAT [Caterpillar Tractor Company of USA] sponsorship began by the Caterpillar Truck engine division in Australia with John Bowe in a Perth (WA) based single Ford Falcon entry in 1999. Later this operation was transferred to the Queensland base of Briggs Motorsport. In 2003 to change their support to the Ford Performance Racing [FPR] Ford Falcon BA driven by Craig Lowndes.

| New Posted: 8/29/2005 7:11:55 PM | Which?
Fragrant and sweet smells The cool evening air Or is it blossoms in her hair? Warm, golden light crowns Worn by majestic ancient trees A camera is heavy in my hand Or is it a childs clutching fingers Swinging, laughing, between ten others Walking alone as family's pass A small field of green, lush grass Seems inviting to my weary legs My camera pack and shirt a pillow Cool and damp, my temporary bed Soft and luscious Or is it her skin pressed against mine? Crowns of gold turn fire orange then red As I lay dreaming on my green bed Beneath the canopy enveloping me Or is it your heart wrapped with mine? A solitary tear runs down my cheek Bringing a loving smile to my face
