| Is it better to be alone Or settle for someone that is not Your type. Posted: 7/7/2005 6:38:28 PM | | I think if you have to settle then you loss in wanting the right relationship. What is so wrong with being alone and happy with your life, versus with someone and lonely. Has the media shape our minds, along with our parents older generation to think if you're not attached, there's something wrong with you in finding a partner. If you have settle for something you don't want, be even more prepared for a higher lost, its called divorce. | |

| Is it better to be alone Or settle for someone that is not Your type. Posted: 7/7/2005 6:43:57 PM | | haha,,well bucsgirl, you are a lovely lady. But I don't play well. Some might call me a "fake" or a "sham",,,,,,,,,,,,,they'd be mostly right. (one of those sleepin dogs, ya might say of my type.) We talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. Guys like me are a dime a dozen,,not worth much. Hell, I'm just honest. Too old, too tired, and too slow to chase anymore. So we talk on this island behind a screen. Maybe guys like this are cowards. They might be right. | |

Love is actually created by two poeple that know how to love and give , two friends , two siblings , parent and child , love is a desicion, kind of like God and country thingy, mother and child is a mom decision , some make the desicion to dump the family or child , it is a decision not to love.
Dude thats the most sensible response I have read so far..

Second best is never enough, you'll do much better baby on your own.
My whole life, I've been told I should 'settle' for anyone I could get, because I'm plus-sized...cause I'm not pretty...cause I'm getting older...etc. Bull. I'm just as special as ANYONE else out there, and I deserve what's best for me.

Posted: 7/7/2005 10:00:50 PM | Yes most definately it is better to be alone then it is to settle for someone that is just not your type. I get to spend all my money on the things that I want. In the past I always thought of them and bought them stuff while out shopping now everything is just for me.

Wow.
It's near unanimous, which is unsurprising on a singles site and it tells me that all of us are single. But more than that, I suspect that it's not entirely of our own choice.
Expectations have parted dramatically between the sexes within First World societies (USA, Europe and Japan) to the point that, in many demographic cohorts, we are at low, zero or even below population replacement rates. In the Second and Third World societies, populations are still zooming.
We as a society, with mindsets like these, will die out.
That's it.
I'm tearing a page from Jango Fett's playbook, hiring me a surrogate and cloning myself. I'll use a rotating series of Swedish Au Pairs to change the stinky-poopies and toss the ball back n' forth with Mini-Me when he's old enough.
Sheez.
* refers to my adaptiation of Drew Carey's description of the less-than-perfect, in this case, those who fail to establish or maintain a permanent bond with a member of the opposite sex. E.G. Singles, and for good reason.
