Yes people meet and chat on these things and one day the inevitable day happens when they meet. For some the fear of the unknown or the high expectations that have been set up are overwhelming.Maybe some people suffer from the anxiety of walking into a room full of strangers and introducing themselves for whatever reason (usually the case is false).
Fortunately for me I don't have the problem but I am sensitive to other peoples potential fears.
There is nothing to fear.
Break it down and you'll see it clearly. You are who you are. Be happy with yourself and walk into every room with your chin up high and a smile. The vibe you'll send out will be magnet to others. | |

If you're organizing a get together, try to set it up where its comfortable and as well an easy spot to pull up into. For example, avoid a happy hour spot on Crescent St. during Grand Prix week. The area is a zoo, parking is crazy. The atmosphere? 100% Artificial.
Maybe a bowling night? Jeans and sweatpants please!
Or a small pub?
Cozy family restaurant?
Skating spot on Mt-Royal?
Everyone showing up at Mt-Royal est lookout with a large hot chocolate in their hand?
West Island - by Lakeshore in a small cafe / bistro / bar?
Billiards bar?
You don't have to have trophies on your mantles to partake in these activities. Just be yourself. | |
