Posted: 8/4/2009 1:24:21 PM | I sometimes benefit from ED drugs during allergy season. The allergy medications that work best for me have an unfortunate side effect! Happily I don't need either all the time, and the few times I've used the ED drugs outside of allergy season, they've provided a nice "boost" for extended recreational sex.

I worked with an older guy that has plans for a romantic weekend with a past lover he was hooking up with. He bought the "blue pill" for the weekend.
When he got back to work on Monday, I asked him how it went...
Well, you know how the commercial says that if you experience an erection for more
than 4 hours, you need to see a doctor?
Well he fell into that category and turns out that he had to spend a good portion
of his weekend in the ER...
He said that they put ice on it...
I guess it sort of put a damper on his weekend....

I do know opinions are like a**holes everyone has one. I did not say whether the person knew or didn't know. I will tell you, if he did know he sure wasn't tellin' me.
Maybe where you live , are just because you are a guy ; you have not been confronted with this dilema.. After all; when is the last time you had sex with a male. ..So in essence, if I tell you that I have had this problem, and actually have girlfriends too that
know their guy friends have issues with "accepting the idea that something is wrong, or refuse to try , or even admit it; Please do not discount this. What do you think; we are making it up? I was and am speaking of ones that do not function properly to were they can maintain an erection or keep it for long. I am curious too of things that just enhance or stimulate. OK Dr Idodares1, Is this you that this is for dsyfunction only. Maybe by chosing to single it out as being for dsyfunction, (in leiu of enhancer)
Are we or he not to use it, if clearly it is helping?

Yup! And that was the Viagra for men. I heard a while back they were going to market a Viagra for women but haven't seen any advertisements about it. I imagine it would be the same pill but different marketing and maybe change the color to pink...
And the viagra headache mentioned earlier is a b1tch...
Every med affects people differently, that's why they all have all the warnings and possible side affects listed... corporate ass covering.
One side affect of viagra I didn't have but thought would be cool is the blue shift. It affects some peoples vision and gives everything a blue tint. Some people have told me there's also ... like... a blue trailer following moving objects.
The cialis "delayed backache" is a pain too. At first I thought it was because we were screwing 3 times a day... Haven't experienced that since I switched to the daily low dose. | |

Yeah, I have ED. I started noticing problems as early as my late 30's. Why ? I have no fukin clue! Maybe the crap the food industry has been poisining us with..all the hormones and chemicals they put in their chickens and beef..who knows. I've had a bad back for years...maybe there was some nerve damage that was never diagnosed. Doctors dont cure anything., they just put bandaids on things. Viargra is a band aid. It dosnt fix the problem, it just lets you dance around it. Personally I use Cialis. It works better.

Also a man I knew once said he had a pump surgically implated. Ever heard of this? Seems to work pretty well and he didn't have headaches  | |

My urologist mentioned the pump... it's the last step before totally giving up on having a sex life... last ditch effort... when meds just don't work anymore.
They put bladders in the penis and put the bulb to inflate them in the scrotum. I think they remove one testicle to make room for the pump/bulb.
I don't know anyone who has one or have heard whether or not it affects ability to orgasm. I imagine it's better than nothing... but would be a much bigger blow to a man's ego than medication.
With meds you know that it's still all you and your own equipment... the meds are just restoring the blood flow you had in your youth.
But with a pump... I don't think you would get the other effects that come with the blood flow... veins... huge purple head.... all the visual cues that tell a woman that her man is ready and willing.... as well as missing the throbbing a man feels when his blood is pulsing through his penis.
But.... definitely better than nothing... | |

Posted: 8/13/2009 3:33:05 PM | Viagra and Ciallis work for most men. Viagra takes around 45 minutes. Ciallis is a much longer term drug that is often used twice a week. I have no idea whether other drugs in magazines actually work but I doubt it. Viagra is worth billions because it is the first of the drugs that actually does work and work well.
Special conditions are a little more difficult. For Viagra to work a man has to be stimulated in some way. Contrary to a couple of answers I glanced at here and other stories a man will not walk around with an erection because he simply takes the drugs. He has to have some stimuli first.
There is a category of drug that will cause erections and if misused or if the dose is too high the erection can last many hours. Pheusodephidrene, an ingredient in night time flu tablets, and also used to make meth is the normal drug to use to stop such a long lasting erection because after around four hours the tissue can be permanently damaged. The drug that causes erection like this is normally injected directly into the penis. Caverjet, a combination of the drug and a self injector is the way it is normally sold. This works for serious medical conditions but is definitely not a recreational drug. It is quite dangerous if misused.
Viagra is used by men who really don't have any medical reason to use it because it gives harder erections if a man is a little older and can give much longer lasting erections. I'm not sure why a man would be "proud" to ask for it because of a medical condition because the conditions are not minor medical matters and often relate to blood flow problems. Viagra also causes side effects including blue tinged vision and terrible headaches. Neither is much fun. It causes other side effects including some rare but very serious ones. Not a great idea to take Viagra or Ciallis without a complete check up from a doctor and clearance to use the drugs.
Caverjet, especially, is used by men with my condition or other forms of spinal cord damage. Viagra can be used if the damage is minor or paralysis is confined. | |

These drugs because they are drugs interact with all sorts of medication and can be very dangerous indeed. If you had erectile dysfunction see your doctor and get medication that does work. Viagra certainly does and at least your doctor will know if you have high blood pressure for instance or take a blood thinner or some other medication that is very dangerous with Viagra or any of the over the counter drugs. | |

Hey Mr T whatever the mechanical aspects of the pump are, they did seem to work. Had he not told me (probably cause I was feelinin' around askin bout things 
LMAO but thinking back, I guess yeaaahh, It's all so clear to me now. The thingie inside his scrotum, nuts sack, balls...ok. was a little distraction, not much, cause like I said it worked.   He did not like his eggo was affected much. Think we both left smilin' because as ric said the stimulus must be there. Just thinking about sex isn't sufficient stimuli otherwise we men, who have sex on the brain, would always be erect with Viagra. LOL. The stimuli needs to be a bit more direct and a Viagra erection will mostly last only as long as the stimuli remains. The comment about an ice pack in ER is just not correct. Firstly ice wouldn't work because you are trying to clear trapped blood not freeze it. Viagra can cause priapism (an erection that will not go away) but that is very rare and very serious involving surgical intervention in extreme cases.
Sinlov, I didn't understand your question since you seemed to have been talking about a penile pump and that works as long as the bladder in the penis is not deflated and has nothing at all to do with stimuli. But if you were referring to Viagra, if you were still having sex an hour later or the mental arousal remained high then the erection is going to last too. Viagra works for up to four hours although an erection wouldn't normally last that long but certainly can be induced several times during that time. Good for orgies I guess.
In case anyone gets any ideas about Caverjet, and until yesterday I didn't realise it was used by those at swingers parties (it cropped up in a medical journal), use Viagra instead if you are going to ignore all sensible advice and use erection enhancement for non medical purposes. Caverjet can last eight to ten hours the first time used and some men need only extremely small doses. And I can say from experience it is extremely painful. Put the needle in the wrong place and you will damage tissue in the penis, hit a nerve and you will be in agony for a week, no matter what you will get some bruising and pain at the injection site. It does work and it beats the alternative by a long shot and I have no problem using it nor embarrassment but spinal cord injury patients receive training in its use and embarrassment disappears simply due to all the other intrusive procedures that are part and parcel of the treatment or learning to live with such an injury. I mentioned it because of the comments about uncontrolled erections and this is one medication which really does cause that but did not think that anyone would seriously consider using it recreationally. Apparently I underestimated the stupidity of some men. | |

My grandfather got one. He was so happy with it, he got a bumper sticker for Trane heat pumps and cut the Trane part of it off, and had the sticker on the back of his brand new Ford Truck that said 'I love my PUMP'.
Cracked all of us up. Apparently the thing was a Godsend to him. My mother is an RN and she recommended it to him, and he bragged about that thing so much that several of his friends went and got the same thing done.
God help the poor women in that town! I'd say there was a lot more women chasing done in the years after those surgeries! Probably did a lot of ego-boosting for a lot of women. Viva la Pump I say!
