Personally, I think you can learn from porn. You don't need to have John Holmes-like plumbing. If you haven't learned one thing about technique or grooming or have gained a better understanding of the many varieties of body shapes, then maybe your dorm just wasn't as fun as it could've been.
But "clit-whacking?" One of the main problems with porn is that it is rarely subtle. Shock value is often what is presented for your viewing pleasure. I don't get the whack! There's plenty more you can do which feels better and is more visually appealing.
