I lost all respect for Fedor after what he just did. To put it bluntly, FEDOR IS A ****!!!

Ortiz is still a top 5 ppv buyrate draw if not top 3 behind Lesnar and GSP. Like him or not he is a pioneer of the sport and I for one am glad to have him back. I saw his last fight live and can first hand vouch for his 'pop'

Well, I don't know about top 3 or 5, especially since he hasn't beaten anyone besides Ken Shamrock since the Forrest fight, which he probably shouldn't have won either. He's probably still profitable, though. The problem is that when everyone is expecting Fedor, and you give them Tito instead, there's bound to be a bit of a letdown.

Biggest PPV draws in the ufc?

1-Lesnar
2-GSP
3-Liddell
4-Couture
5-Ortiz

Thats the way I see it there, with a lack of activity from Couture and Liddell you could put Ortiz in the 3rd spot.

Lemme ask you if you dont think Ortiz is that high up then whos a bigger draw?

As far as Couture and Liddel's lack of activity goes, Tito hasn't fought in over a year, was only averaging one fight per year before that, and his last fight was a one sided drubbing. I just don't see anything there to indicate that he's going to set the world on fire, buyrate wise.

I don't have it in me to go looking up buyrates and comparing main events and all, but off the top of my head, Possibly Anderson, though maybe not since the current crop of fans are fickle, and he hasn't destroyed anyone's soul in his last couple of fights. I wouldn't be surprised if Wanderlei and Forrest both do better numbers then Tito will this run, since they have reputations for having not having bad fights. I would probably put Rampage at number 5, if I was making a list, if I was making a guess.

Of course, I don't know if Chuck and Randy even count right now, since they're quite possibly retired, but that's a whole other thing.

To clairify: I think there will be a bump for Tito's return fight (There is some interest there, and he's good with the marketing), but unless he goes on a tear and starts winning fights, and winning them in exciting fashion, I don't think he will draw. Further, I don't see that winning streak happening. Since everyone else started cutting as much weight as he does, Tito hasn't fared well. I think Forrest and Rashad both win rematches with him, Lyoto schools him worse than before, and Rampage lays him out. Unless his first fight back shows something that puts some doubt in my mind as to those outcomes, I know I'm not reaching for my wallet whenever I see his name.

Excerpt from Yahoo! MMA article:
“I have full control of all the contracts, and my career as well,” said Emelianenko through an interpreter. “I get all the financial reports and all important issues are discussed with me. What I don’t like, Vadim tries to stand up for.”

“The UFC did not give us any chance to develop,” Finkelchtein said. “The UFC wanted him [Emelianenko] only to be a fighter in UFC. They didn’t offer us anything else. Dana White said Fedor and M-1 rejected a huge amount of money and agreed to fight for cheap money. But nothing special was offered to Fedor and M-1 by the UFC. When we made the deal with Strikeforce and when we united with Strikeforce, we brought with it the opportunity to broadcast all his fights on the first channel in Russia, the leading channel in South Korea and Sky TV in Japan, and many other countries. The UFC won’t give us these opportunities.”

Terms of the contract offer were not announced, from either side, with both camps providing a ton of rhetoric and no concrete information.

“From my viewpoint, the UFC does not have the proper attitude toward fighters,” Emelianenko said. “They do not consider fighters to be normal people, human beings. My feeling is the attitude of UFC toward fighters is not the correct one. And I don’t like their policy, which appears to be a really bold one. They offered one thing, and then on the Internet, the number published was something different. The offer we got from them was really miserable.”

“We offered him a great deal,” said White, who called the promotion “Strikefarce” in a press conference in Philadelphia on Thursday, categorizing the promotion as a tiny regional group with nobody in it.
