You should have stopped and used the tire iron to chip out the mud from the wheel wells.
You should always have a cell phone charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter stored in your glovebox.
When driving on strange roads where there is a possibility of deer jumping out you should slow down.
Never rely on a GPS to get you there. They are an aid to navigation, nothing more.
Why drink from a bottle of mouthwash while you're driving? You're bound to hit a traffic light or stop sign or at the very worst you take a sip when you get to the place and you're in the parking lot.
You made many mistakes here and if you live your daily life the same way you're headed for problems.
What? | |

What?
The poster made many avoidable mistakes that caused all of the problems quoted in my post.
Hopefully the poster can learn from them and not continue to repeat them.
For example next time take a map, don't drink mouthwash while driving, keep a cell phone charger in the car, go slowly when driving on deer infested dark roads, and clean out mud from wheel wells.
Maybe others can learn from these mistakes as well

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 2:11:25 PM | I had two worst dates with the same person!
First time I contacted her. We did a show. She wanted a coffee afterwards. Its 11:00 fri in the middle of club/bar land in Birmingham (UK) . I suggest that coffee may be a problem. Angry looks. We try a bar - NO coffee. We try another bar - NO coffee. I then suggest we go to my place (5 min walk) and I have good coffee. She accuses me of trying to seduce her. I suggest she may be over reacting, but I have no other suggestions. She storms off.
About a month later she contacts me. she is unaware that we have met before. I remind her of our last meeting. Oh yes she says your the guy who said I was over reacting. Anyway she insists we meet. We go for a Pizza, and before the order is taken she leans over the table and says "I hope you dont mind but I want to F**k you tonight" Well I do my best to oblige, but she is like a steam engine! Over breakfast she tells me I was pretty good but I didnt quite "Hit the Spot"
I left a broken man!! | |

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 2:43:11 PM | | Thankfully I have been extremely fortunate and haven't had any disasterous dates. My worse experience was going out with a guy who was very pushy and kept trying to get me to come back to his place on the first date. That got annoying real quick and the date was cut short. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and meet him again the next day for tennis. The game was fun but as soon as we finished he started up again but this time kept trying to get me to let him come back to my place. Geez. Some guys don't get it. | |

What?
Yeah, Cinsav -- don't bother.
But I, for one, fully intend to learn from your mistakes; you really "should" never have left home without having memorized that list of "shoulds." I'm sure you have helped many by posting here today....

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 3:38:17 PM | I haven't been too terribly unlucky. The worst I had, probably...
Going on a date with this guy (he was 28), who took me to a restaurant and literally acted like a small child. He was writing all over the walls, sticking forks into the electrical outlet, asking the waiter to read the desert menu to him when it was right in front of us... He laughed at all of this. I was just thinking to myself...wtf? I honestly didn't see anything amusing by his behavior, but he was laughing his ass off the entire time. Alrighty then.

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 3:40:45 PM | she looked 50 pounds over her pics. and she was more interested in the steak than anything ,, and screamed how hungry she was that we had to stop at a store and she got some beef jerky , then barried her face in the plate when we got the food. oh she also let the waiter know that she's really hungry and would like to get her mashed potatoes before the steak if they were ready

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 3:42:05 PM | ^ At least you got out of there with both of your hands!
I had a guy try to do that on a date with me and I was so grossed out I tried to pull the plate away. It cost me 3 fingers of my right hand.
No joke | |

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 3:50:56 PM | I've had a few good, a few bad, and a few ugly :-P but the worst wasn't even a real date! we had been text/emailin for a few days, and he knew what general area of town I lived in (by that I mean we have a huge mall w/ several apartments & a residental area. so sayin I lived by the mall means nothing. so I thot!) on this day we were texting & I was @ the park w/ my kids. he randomly asks what color I'm wearing & I say yellow why? he responds like 10 min later & says I am hotter in person. I'm like what? he says I jus drove by the park & saw u. I didn't know how to respond! I thought he was joking but he described my shirt & where I was in the park. creepy! I cancelled our date 4 the night & blocked his email & #. | |

If he didn't know in advance that you were going to be in that park at that time then there's no way he could have been there at that moment let alone looking directly at you as compared to dozens of other people at that very same park.
If you think about it you will see that your response was completely over the top. Since you blocked him he has no way to explain that. He's probably scratching his head and thinking you're a lunatic or something to respond that way to what was an obvious joke. He probably didn't tell you exactly what your shirt was or where you were you just sort of filled that part in in your own mind or fed him the information just like psychics do all the time to unsuspecting customers that they rip off left and right.

I was thinking the same thing. How do you know he just didn't happen to be passing by, see someone that looked like you and thought "holy shit is that xxxxx?" Hmmm I'll send her a text - maybe it IS her!
Instead of resorting to the anticts of your typical paranoid moonbat, why didn't you just ASK why happened to spot you?
That would take all the fun out of being overly dramatic and would leave you with nothing to babble to your friends about the next day at the office. It's much more exciting to tell them stories of creepy stalker guys than it is to bore them with yarns of how someone you were chatting with online just happened to bump into you.
Can we please have a moonbat emote?

He sounds very entertaining.
I bet if you handed him your socks he could have put on one Hell of a puppet show.

You're almost there. He did something along those lines... Not with my socks, but with the napkins, knives, and spoons. He made little "silverware puppet" things and made them do "fights" like they were superheros or something.
I don't get it, honestly. But at least we weren't sitting in awkward silence... I guess I should be thankful for that.

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 4:33:40 PM | | actually he knew I was going 2 a park w/ my kids, there are several in town. I did let him explain & he was clearly there & did see me. he straight up said he went there looking for me & rook a chance since that park is closest to the general area I lived in. he said he wanted 2 make sure my pics were not fake. he was not joking & said some other things that were red flags. I'm not the lunatic 4 my reaction. I gave him the benefit of the doubt b4 blocking him. | |

Highly functioning autistic.
Makes him think that if he can amuse you with childish antics, you'll be his friend.

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 5:54:43 PM | | I work in special ed., so I would have probably tried to figure out what was going on with him and been intriqued by his oddness, but would not have wanted to date him. I do seem to attract men who are Aspies. | |
|
| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 7:58:29 PM | | I don't understand why you girls allow strange men into your home, or you go into theirs. This is quite shocking. Don't you people read the news? | |
|
| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/24/2009 9:30:29 PM | | I have never allowed a man into my home unless i feel very comfortable with him. I always meet someone in a public place, do not get in his car with him, and tell a friend his name and his phone number, where I am and always have my cell phone with me. | |
|
| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/25/2009 2:01:27 AM | I'm finding it quite hilarious and ironic how the people who apparently have all the answers as to what will stop you having a bad date and are willing to pass judgement on other peoples dates are still single themselves. And I'm really not surprised that they are single either given their anal retentive tendency's.
This isn't like the profile review threads where other single people can rip on other single people for having crappy profiles! (More irony)
This is a thread for sharing experiences on terrible dates and I didn't notice one person asking for a review of said date or in depth analysis as to what went wrong!
Jeez, some people just can't help themselves I guess....
|
| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/25/2009 2:40:36 AM | People criticize others because it is easier than criticizing themselves. Everyone has been on a bad date, and has a story to tell.

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/25/2009 9:29:42 AM | I've been lucky as well, specially lately, and my instincts are quite good, most everyone I meet is a nice genuine person.
The worst for me was a couple years ago to meet a woman who I thought was 24, lived alone with no kids and didn't smoke.
drove 90mins out there. She didn't look like her pictures. Not even close. Heavier and definitely older. But I'm standing there at the door so I accept to come in. First thing is the smell. Clearly she smoked. Its a dealbreaker for me but still, I'm already inside. So we get to some small talk, she has to go to the bathroom and says make myself at home. So I see a few picture frames face down, I flip them up....it's pics of her and her kids. Ugh. You know that feeling when you've been completly deceived.
I almost bolted right then and there but actually stayed and made polite conversation for about 30mins and then said nice to meet you and drove way above the speed limit all the way home.

| WHATS THE WORST DATE YOU HAD ON POF Posted: 8/25/2009 5:17:44 PM | My worst was my first. I've only been a member a week or so, but here goes.
This gentleman seemed sincere, and I kind of felt sorry for him, so I agreed to meet him at a park.
Well, I don't ask that much. If you feel the need to tell my your life story within 5 minutes of meeting me, okay, I'm a good listener. If you want to get off your chest the fact that you were convicted of a felony 25 years ago, okay, everybody makes mistakes. If you don't have a job so can't even take me out for coffee, hey, it happens to a lot of people. And it's okay you have a mental illness, I'm sure you are still a very nice person. But!!! You have to at least have all of your teeth!!! Or at least brush the ones you have left!!!
