Posted: 8/26/2009 3:06:03 AM | | met a girl to go bowling and basically, she invited her 3 male friends to bowl with us without telling me. i had to compete for her attention with 3 other dudes she already knew. i paid for the bowling for all of us. they were just interested in drinking (they paid for their beer). she wanted to shoot pool afterwards and i said no thx and got the hell out of dodge. the sad part was when we emailed afterwards, she was completely clueless as to how rude it was to invite her 3 friends on our first date. absolutely clueless. | |

The date went well, I guess, just no chemistry and I was upfront about that before I left.
But after our date, he text me, professed his love for me, and wanted me to have his children! I am STILL currently trying to get rid of him! If he sees me online here, he says he's disgusted that I am looking for another man when I "Have someone" I haven't responded or talked to him since the date... three weeks ago!
He's a lunatic!!!
But I guess as long as he doesn't turn up at my house, I'll be okay. Wait, someone's at the door, be right back....

I'm not so sure he isn't just goofing with you and maybe doesn't really know how. But it doesn't matter. There's an easy way to avoid this.

number 1... didnt even manage to even meet up, got really too heavy way to quickly, and when I put the brake on and suddenly retreated, he sent threatening texts and mails, including 'hopes my children get snatched, r***ed, and murdered' and another 'when I see you about I am going to kick the shit out of you and make you watch whilst I throw your children under an oncoming bus' needless to say, the authorities are still trying to find this guy... even now he keeps opening new accounts and contacting me and even tho I then report him again...he just cant help himself...
number 2... really liked the guy, came round for drinks and a movie, and ended in a nice kiss, then following day problem with mobile network and we couldnt get our texts to one another, and then they all came all at once to each of us, since then not been the same, and he has agreed would like a further date but wont commit to anything...

I only had 3...but one of them: I met someone at a bar for a few drinks and he had a protein shake with him in a rubbermaid type thermos, and he only drank bottled water. I thought it was pretty bizzare...
mine brang bottled water to the movies and made me squish it into my already filled up small purse to "save money". That was a total turn off for a first day. I understand saving money. That just was odd to me for a first date. He literally pushed me into squishing it into my purse. lol | |

Before our first meeting I had the conversation I usually do, based on my experience with men and how they often lie about their height. (I think it's most common for men to lie about height & for women to lie about weight - when there's lying involved.)
He confirmed that he was, as his profile said, indeed 5'11"
HE, of course, asked me THREE times if I weighed the same now as I did in my pics. I said of course. He was reassured, and I was reassured, right?
I meet up with the guy at the bar of an upscale restaurant. Planned to meet for just 45 minutes cuz I had to go to a graduation.
He was seated at the bar when I got there, and sort of made a motion to stand but didn't stand up entirely.
We sat and talked for 45 minutes. He asked me to stay longer, have dinner with him, but I couldn't. I said we could make plans in a phone call. He said he'd definitely call.
So we get up to leave, me in front and him behind (yes, doing the ass check. Love those!)
After we exited I was walking right beside him and I turned to say something. He was eye level with me. Exactly eye level.
I'm 5'8" and I KNOW his profile said he was 5'11" because I ALWAYS check that since I'm a tall woman.
He even confirmed it for me on the phone. I asked, he confirmed.
I turned to him, as we walked out, looked him in the eye and said calmly "you're not 5'11"
He didn't act surprised when he said "My profile says I'm 5'10" and yes I AM 5'10" so you aren't 5'8"
Yeah, sure buddy, I don't know how tall I am, sure.
He said I must be wearing heels. I wasn't. I wore flats on purpose. I showed him.
When he showed me HIS shoes I looked down at FLIP FLOPS.
FLIP-FLOPS on a 45 year-old man in an upscale restaurant. FLIP FLOPS? Are you kidding me! AND he had dirty feet at the ends of those short legs of his.
He didn't have to be in a tux, and yes it's Arizona, but I wouldn't wear flip flops to an upscale restaurant & not on a first meet! He knew the place and what the dress was.
It was nice of him to lie about his height and dress up for me huh?
It was sweet of him to post a lie on his profile.
It was super sweet of him to personally assure me he was taller than me.
I never lied about MY weight, but he obviously didn't want to tell the truth about HIM.
And yes, when I got home I quickly checked his profile. It said 5'11"
He took down his profile that night.
Needless to say he did not call and make those plans he wanted to make just 5 minutes before he revealed his short leg flip flop feet.
Good times, good times.
I have others, and no this isn't tragic of course. It's just funny.
It's a fact that MANY men lie about height! But those same men throw a hissy fit when a woman lies about her weight! WTF? This flip-flop fuucker sure asked me about MY weight. THREE times!

Most likely because they know if they're honest they won't get that date in the first place.
They trick themselves into believing that if they can get that date, even under false pretenses, the person they have fooled will like them so much that the lies don't matter.
It never works but heck it beats sitting home on a Saturday night using a vibrator with half dead batteries that has a broken intensity control knob from the over use. | |
