"Sheesh, lighten up my fellow Canucks!"

Luv you Tink, but I don't find anything funny about Hortons. Just another fast junk food store, that serves dishwater coffee.

I just love the stereotyping of Cdns. as beer drinking red necks who are addicted to Hortons.

I think I dated that guy. No wonder he didn't talk much.

That's alright. I like a stiffy and I've heard I could raise the dead.

So you mean he's unattached but rather set in his ways or free as floating on the breeze, huh?

Don't forget, we are talking only about the initial meet and greet. When in the Guelph area, usually I like to suggest for the first outing a leisurely stroll in Fergus or Elora, followed by canoe ride through the rapids in Elora Gorge.

Yeah, but you've got to be careful not to tip the canoe whilst on the rapids in the Elora Gorge. You could end up losing your date. If that happens, maybe the date could share some space with Tim. It'd be close quarters but no doubt cozy.

Then again, maybe tipping the canoe was the whole idea, eh? Duh!!!!

Moraima - Msg 28

I just love the stereotyping of Cdns. as beer drinking red necks who are addicted to Hortons.

Since, I'm not too much for sitting in coffee houses anyway, I could count on my fingers how many times I've been at TH. But I haven't seen anything repulsive there (except the one time, when I met someone who used a twenty years old and 40 lbs lighter picture).

Let's face it, most men are not that fussy. As long as the date shows up and sports a deep-cut dress or half-opened blouse, that's all we notice.
Coffee? What coffee ? Most of my recent dates order some strange herbal tea.

Now, if you ask me about Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, or Home Depot stores, I have definite preferences.

You got it, that would be a very effective way to make some meaningful changes.

The only thing I care about is if my date's timbits are in working order.

Well, even there was a free donut in addition to the coffee, nobody is going to get me to Tim's. If I already had to meet at a fast food place, I would prefer MickyD's. Who eats donuts anyways??

Let me tell you, there are much dirtier things discussed here than timbits.
TryAgain, wasn't looking for dirt, but thanks any way.
I had almost guessed it was some type of donut (hole) or pastry, but was afraid to say in case it turned out to be some kind of chicken nugget thing. Thanks to those of you who cleared that up for me.

So then Timbits are like munchkins from Dunkin' Donuts. I like mine layered in chocolate. And in pairs. . .

Rusty, a Tim Bit is like a donut hole. A donut, but a small round ball.

Well, TryAgan, my friend, and yes fellow forum folk he is my friend, I would love to go to the Elora gorge on a date. Even so, one would never catch me trying to negotiate those rapids in a canoe, lol!!!

Edited to add: Hey now, I would consider a walk through either a Home Depot or an Ikea store to be much more fun than trying to converse in a noisy coffee shop.

I hope its not true. People will join POF for the coffee and the tim bits, and we'll have more players than before. Worse still all the country will join POF and that will include by Ex, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Just what we need.............POF meet ups at a Horton with a full parking lot..........people waiting in long lines for coffee..............kids screaming.............people evesdropping on the conversations at the next table or two, and bad coffee. Don't forget that a lot of retired people hang out there, so getting a table will be an issue. Guess the meet and greet could be a quickie in the drive thru.

I have boycotted Tim Horton's for several years, since I got my leg humped by a young employee who cornered me by the ice cap machine.

I guess now I'll have to boycott POF. Damn, & I was thinking about getting one of those gold d00hickeys.

Don't worry, Bella! I've done the gorge several times, it's a nice ride, however, that was before I joined POF. Now, in the summer, the water levels and the rapids are relatively low. I'll bring a life jacket and a bucket, you can keep bailing us out (you can also scream COMING THROUGH and photograph all the onlookers on the bridge), while I'll handle the negotiating part.

Do they really have a Home Depot in Elora?

This would put a new spin on speed dating although speed and Tim Hortons drive thru have not always been synonymous.

In Tims drive thru you will be able to find your Timfish in small, regular, large, or a double double.

One of the anticipated promotions will be a free coffee and two Timbits on the first date for POF members

I guess Tim Hortons has got the memo that pof men are notoriously cheap. I guess we wont have to listen to the million excuses why he shouldnt have to pay for the coffee date he most probably asked the girl out on.

I want it known that we Canadians do not pummel our senior citizens with Timbits.

HEY!! speak for yourself! Here in PEI we routinely toss our holes at seniors .. and some of them seem to like it!

(holes = timbits = donutholes) cough ..

and What stereotyping?? As soon as I finish tidying up my igloo, I'm off to the hockey game in my canoe eh ..

and I resent the redneck reference!! Just because we can still be cousins After the divorce doesn't make us bad!

lmao at drive-thru speed dating .. tooooo funny .. there's nothin speedy bout our drive thru's!! lol ..

((I am sooo spreading this rumour when I go to town today .. Starting at my local Snortin' Tim Hortons! ;) )
