| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 7:04:01 AM | "The Ex (for Ontarians), "
The Ex isn't attended by Ontarians but by people from Toronto and area. The Ex doesn't make people think of Ontario. If it does that are sure missing far more interesting places to visit in the Province.
When someone is disagreeing with your opinion, try and see if saying they need to have sex upsets them............now there is a weak attempt to get their own way.
People have been going to Horton's, McDonald's etc for decades. Because fast food restaurant tell people it is so great before too long it becomes a way of life more "some". This is like being on a sports team and attacking anyone who isn't on your team. This is what Canada is all about..............I don't think so.

i was kind of thinking of that light snow that just barely packs that SW Ontario gets when the sky has gone winter blue-- so the snowballs throw well but crumble softly when they hit the downfilled shoulder...
but now that you mention timbit pummelling...

No twisted knicker here...........
From the amount of upset posts here just because people aren't willing accept a different point of view, looks like the knicker knot are all visiting Horton's.
I am sitting here enjoying my freshly made Cuban coffee latte served with cinnimon and raw sugar.
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 9:53:11 AM | moraima: Be careful with that sugar. I didn’t understand what you were trying to say in your previous post, but I thought your earlier historical reference (Msg 122) does deserve a comment.
research Trudeau and Diefenbaker plus other politicians backed that communist country It should be pointed out that Mussolini also backed certain fascist country, but ultimately, that didn’t help him nor his friend. As to Trudeau backing a communistic country, I wouldn’t call having a round of drinks with Fidel exactly as endorsement of communism. But then, I personally respected Trudeau much more for turning out pirouettes or for his skinny dipping in Meach Lake. You might want to read “Three Nights in Havana” by Robert Wright where he describes how, long before before he was prime minister, Trudeau had attempted to canoe to Cuba, and how Castro visited Montreal as a young revolutionary, later welcoming FLQ terrorists to his tiny island.
Fortunately, in late 80’s, Reagan and Gorbachev corrected the sad chapter of history started by Lenin and his followers, and now there are only a handful of communistic countries left. With Raoul slowly phasing out, it might be a good idea to take some Korean lessons.
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 9:59:38 AM | Honduras might be the place to be if you have fantasies of being a revolutionary and rescuing we pathetic beings from our Tim's forced obsession- oops. I mean blind faith so that we are in compliance of the Martians who put Tim's on earth so that we can follow in step with the authorities. The thought control institution can take us all and force us to drink Moraima's coffee and, like Jim Jones, we can all float up to the heavenly place where non-compliant types, who aren't into sex, wine and good times- all study the Communist manifesto. Only raw sugar allowed, free trade coffee, Birkenstock's, hemp clothes and sex once a month-missionary position only. 10 minutes. No screaming or passionate embraces allowed. Do it for the Motherland. | |
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 10:00:44 AM | I did read "Three Nights in Havana"...................Castro was asked by the Canadian Government to allow the terrorists to go to Cuba and then another country to defuse the situation when the country was living under the War Measure Act. I remember it all well, as I was living in Montreal at the time.
Tryagain, you might want to read the writting of Pierre's sons. They have written about their trips to Cuba to the point of the Trudeau family and the Castro family becoming one. There writting add of the personal details.
I just love it when I read people post about situation that have never experienced but they just know the truth above it, such as the info listed above.
Just like it is truth that all Canadians think Horton's, hockey etc..............are the greatest thing on the planet.

food fight at serendipity's place...
Tim Bits at 10 paces - now that's a duel!!!! What a fabulous idea!!! I'm going to make the suggestion that we have regional timbits fights that can be fed via satelite through to serendipity's house. Whadda say Calgary peeps? Are you up for the challenge? Let's hold it at Timmie's at McKnight and 12th Street N.E. Whoohoo, what a way to unite Canada even though some would argue that Canada isn't Canadian, eh!
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 10:20:51 AM | Hey, you can count on me for sure. I'll ask Mae to meet us there. We can have a 3-way. | |

... the Trudeau family and the Castro family becoming one. There writting add of the personal details. Was that the time that Margaret had sex with Fidel? I didn't realize there was a book out about it with all the personal details. Hmmmmm, interesting. Maybe I'll grab a Timmie's, sit a spell and have a read of what is sure to be a fascinating book.

| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 10:49:14 AM | And here was poor me, thinking it was Mick Jagger she was having sex with. I guess I was too busy focusing on the one-finger salute he was giving us Westerners at the time (which gesture has ever since been re-named by Canadians as the "Trudeau Salute") . Ya gotta love that PET.
OK, rules for the battle of the Timbits - bringing nutbars is a no-no - and I choose the Timbits with the shredded coconut. When they splatter, it looks like confetti.
As for the 3-way, I guess I should have PM'd that, as now Tim's will be doing a booming business because of all the guys turning up to watch the show.
Mae, where is ya, gurl??????

| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 11:01:29 AM |
I choose the Timbits with the shredded coconut. When they splatter, it looks like confetti. And I choose the dutchies - it's the raisins - they kind of remind me of old prunes - you know what I mean - kind of withered up with no juice left in them.
I'm still stunned over coming to the realization that some people will argue that Canada is not Canadian. It's kind of like arguing that black isn't black and that white isn't white but nevertheless it happens and when it does, it's a shocker.

| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 11:21:36 AM | "I'm still stunned over coming to the realization that some people will argue that Canada is not Canadian. "
I am just as shocked that some Canadian can see that everything doesn't like the same things as they do. Some appreciate can for different things. I am also shocked that it is considered a crime by Horton goers here to be different than them.
Trying to twist words and cause gossip about history is attempt to throw off the fact of what is really happening.
Who know so many peoples belief system starts with Horton's............that says a lot about how interested some are in other things in life.

| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 11:32:21 AM | Ever see a mountain lion clawing trying to get out of its trap to no avail? Ever see a wolf tearing at it’s paws to set itself free from a trap?
The stress of watching is harsh on the body….you cry out in its’ pain…you wish for mercy…only to see the reality before you unfold….
Hmmm….
The image may be Canadian way back in the 60’s before safer methods were devised.
I do find it difficult to watch in this forum thread….it’s so Canadian eh?
Is your bag of goodies empty yet Moriama?
I love Tim Hortons Coffee...
Been a blast reading through this particular forum ...lol

pot, meet kettle. YOUR real character is certainly being revealed for all to see, too.
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 12:25:52 PM | Now Tim's hasn't forgotten the tea drinkers. I'm surprised they're not on here complaining about being discriminated against and not appreciated. The steeped tea- now that is a real Canadian thing. Actually more British. My Dad taught me that you steep until the spoon stands up. Not like that weak dishwater to the south of us! Has that for cross-border mud slinging.
And don't forget. We have history here too. The heart shaped tubs in Niagara Falls. A moment of silence when it decided to gussy itself up.
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 12:42:09 PM | What's happened to the OP? Hey, TA (love those initials, BWAHAHAHA), are you still ducked down behind the counter? I'm not surprised - its a deluge of timbits out there and you surely don't wanna get yer eye poked out by getting hit with one of those flying raisins from the dutchies. So, do you have any more timbits .... er er er, tidbits - which would be suitable for another thread like this one? We Canuck ladies love a good free-for-all. | |
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 12:47:12 PM | ^^^
What's happened to the OP? Too much suffering on this thread, I can't watch it anymore, somebody call the ambulance. I'm switching channels now.
|
| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 12:53:20 PM | What's a Timbit? Do we get a wee bit of this Tim guy? Do we get to choose which bit?
Gossip. Now we have Gossip on an Internet Dating Site.
Jeepers.
I wonder how we know if you're a POF member in Good Standing.....?
Are there charts or scorecards or something?

| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 1:28:19 PM |
Are there charts or scorecards or something? There are "Roll Up the Rims" which is very hard to 'splain to our southern neighbours!
As to Trudeau backing a communistic country, I wouldn’t call having a round of drinks with Fidel exactly as endorsement of communism. Whoops. Tryagan, stick to humour. You obviously don't know your history or politics. What Trudeau did was to snub the US ultimatum - "If you trade with Cuba, you will not be able to trade with us". Most countries worldwide obeyed the American dictate. Canada did not. I believe that bully American foreign policy was the greatest force that caused hardship in Cuba.
The ultimatum was hot air. We traded with, travelled to and exchanged knowledge with Cuba and America continued to *allow* us Canadian/American trade priviledges. Sorry for the digression.
For the record, I love Timmy's coffee! God sanctifies it! It's the only coffee shop in the world (North Sydney) where the image of Jesus revealed itself on the brick wall! Just a peek into my dating pool.

| Tim Hortons / POF Alliance Posted: 8/3/2009 1:31:31 PM | "pot, meet kettle. YOUR real character is certainly being revealed for all to see, too."
This thead hasn't changed my real character or how I show it here. I have never pretended to be someone I am not.
I am not about to people please and pretend Horton's says Canada to me.
I do see people posting here who have always showed balance and fairness in their posts (ie. no gender bashing or over weight bashing etc.) so full of alligence for Horton's they have tried anything and everything to descredit anyone who dared to disagree. Now their character only seems balanced on certain issues. They don't know how to apply it across the board.
