As for Sol Campbell, he's been there for a month or so, so it doesn't qualify as the 'shortest' signing....didn't Clive Allen beat that one summer?

not officially... see got out my big arsenal book to check!!! lol he was with the club 2 months, signed him at the beginning of the summer, and sold him at the end... he played a whopping 3 pre-season games for us.....

Burnley's amazing Premiership story reaches a critical stage next month with three home games against Birmingham, Wigan and Hull plus a long awaited trip to B'stards to look forward too. Every possibility we could be holding a top six place by the time Bonfire night comes around.

Come on you Clarets ......

I like Burnley, another Northern club in the Premiership, plus they took 3 points off the Red scum. Obviously you lost against Chelsea but they are playing great at the moment.

They are having a great start, which is good. Hopefully they will not be fighting religation at the end of the season? IMO you will do well considering, finishing between 12 and 15th.

Two players for the shortest signing....

Dieter Hamman after being on a free after his Liverpool contract expired agreed to join and signed for Bolton on deadline day and then hours later changed his mind and signed for Manchester City incurring a £400,oo0 transfer fee into the bargain for Bolton his club for under a day.

Also wasn't Jon Obi Mikel signed for Manchester United from whichever club he came from only for Chelsea to nab him after a deal was agreed citing that he was bullied into signing for United. He never got to Manchester but they received 4m from Chelsea.

Well today we finally picked up our first points of the season....We really wasnt expecting it this side of Christmas.......

We're all dead excited down here, rumours that an open top bus tour of the City in celebration are abound. And hundreds of street parties throughout the PO postcode area are already underway.

It should be quite the social whirl

Still rock bottom and still well adrift.................But still in it
