But I guess the thing I *really* want to know is what is the purpose of flirting?
Perhaps it’s a vehicle for self-expression, ma’am? a way to be playful, a way to interact, to convey interest, to express attraction? Perhaps a way to create something out of nothing, a moment of beauty made with wit and words and good will? a gesture, a feeling shared? The same purpose as a beautiful flower on a hat, or a skirt covered in pretty valentines? – the joy of being alive? | |

Posted: 10/24/2009 4:44:00 AM | Not read the previous 4 pages but… I think men can flirt without doing any of those things listed by the OP, though it’s easier in person than by email or chat. I think flirting can be a lot of fun, harmless, or with intention. So long as you’re both on the same page then it’s all good.
As for meeting for just sex, if both parties understand that’s all the other wants, then why not? | |

... they always do feel they are right and everyone else wrong and there is nothing new for them to learn or discover in this world...The know-it-alls...The everyone is an idiot and only I know what is going on people...They stand out like a sore thumb ... They seem so proud and full of themselves ... Notice one thing though, if it is a woman doing it, she will get deleted and maybe banned. If it is a man, he stands, no matter what. Take a notice sometime. Says a lot about giving one gender so much power, doesn't it? We women ...treat men as if they are so special, babying them and taking on more responsibility than we ever should. This all creates this vicious cycle of negativity. Of course, I have left out a lot of the steps of the cycle, but .... you probably get the general idea. I get the general idea....... | |

...Someone has got to start the process...Flirting is a catalyst in many cases...opens up possibilties that otherwise may not be there.

Say what you want, whine about it all day, and de-value the tactic until you are blue in the face, you can't change that it works and works well. Period.
True, it is a low-blow, but hey, it works. If all else fails, buy it, baby! As long as pretty girls without supportive families continue to go to college for degrees that don't pay for crap, rich guys will have a steady flow of prospects. | |

*That* was lovely, and thank you! Guess I somehow manage all that without it's being sex specific. Perhaps the difference between an INTP and an INFP? Or something else. . . .? Again, thanks for the "serious" response!
