SweetNancy, I am convinced that you never saw that game! LMAO Pete, Pete dear I HAD to throw that in, I still can't believe a man that is as knowledgeable about football as you could not come to grasp that the Saints did NOT control the line of scrimmage MOST of the time when someone has CLEARLY shown you stats to prove they didn't. LOL I'll admit I did only see half the game but if Saints controlled the line of scrimmage for MOST than they needed to control it for more than 1/2 of the game and they didn't do it in the second half plus that stats showed that both Dallas and Saints controlled the line at TIMES seems to me during the game that the control was in flux, with both teams continually adjusting their line therefore neither team controlled the line of scrimmage MOST of the time.... plus it was damn argument, I enjoyed it anyway! I admit well done Pete, but in my mind .... I won.
If I remember correctly I was the one that told you that Pierre Paul was going to be a beast when you drafted him out of South Florida why are you sticking your toungue out at me now or is that your version of a french kiss But then what would I know I'm just a ****in Whack Job ...... A French kiss¿?... yeah, yeah... thats the ticket a "french kiss" ...*a~hem* But of course AKA how could you question that. Yes you did tell me that and I agreed, any guy that can do as many flips as he did at the combine MUST have some pretty good athletic abilities however I bought it up because at some point in this season you pointed out that as good as Pierre Paul was Ware was beating him in sacks. So I was I just updating the final season.... see there is method to my madness, or is that my insanity BTW you may be whacky at times but I still luv ya.
Well Nancy with a name like GothamCityBoy, did you expect anything diff? Good point Steel!! But Look I THINK he's coming around.......
I congratulate the New York Giants and will now support their efforts towards a Superbowl....Go Giants..... ! Awwww see you DO LUV to hate us rival fans, as I luv to hate Dallas, perhaps you do have an inkling of clue....it's a start! You Know HD use to get mad at time at some of "friendly rivals"...... but we grew on him. And you have to admit the NFC EAST is the BEST division out there.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 1/7/2012 4:41:07 AM | Hmmmm, it seems like I'm not the only one that feels that Doug Free was overpaid and has underperformed. Flozell always had that "I'm deaf in one ear" excuse for his false starts, but it doesn't work for Free! Check out this article:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Dallas-Cowboys-San-Diego-Chargers-New-York-Jets-in-denial-of-how-messed-up-they-are-010612
And here's some speculation from ProFootballWeekly.com about what may happen next season with the Cowboys O line.
• Sources in Dallas indicate that the strong play of rookie ORT Tyron Smith and the sub-par season (following a $32 million contract extension) from OLT Doug Free could lead to the two players switching positions. Yes, this had been discussed from the minute the Cowboys drafted Smith with the ninth pick in 2011. But given Smith's age (he just turned 21 in December) and inexperience, the team wanted to wait a year to make the long-term call. It appears you can expect Smith on the left and Free on the right in '12.
Gotta love the way Jerry Jones wastes money!

I'm not the only one that feels that Doug Free was overpaid and has underperformed. Flozell always had that "I'm deaf in one ear" excuse for his false starts, but it doesn't work for Free! Wow haven't heard the name Flozell mentioned in awhile, Flozell is one O-lineman I don't miss, lol false starts or not he was a damn good player and kept our defense on their toes. Just didn't personally like the guy because he had something bad against Tuck, I understand opposing teams need to play tuff but Flozell was even Fined by the NFL for "INTENTIONALLY" tripping Tuck which I remember that play it was certainly intentional and cheating. Which we all know wasn't Flozells first time he made an illegal play on Tuck.... lol anyway if Jerry wants to keep Free... lol hey I'm good with that.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 1/11/2012 6:00:09 PM | jerry jones said last week "this year we had 30 new players and coaches next year we will have 30 new players and coaches".
jones has taken a lot of heat moreso than ever before this year, from 2 local broadcasters. they have been calling for him to fire himself.
you have to have the right coaches that can teach young players and keep them disciplined. whether jerry jones will ever find them its beginning to make me wonder

That's what I'm hoping for to Sweet...But for Jerry to understand this you will have to re-type it and underline in Red.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 3/25/2012 9:10:34 PM | to MGM First round pick should be a pass rusher no matter who we have or get as corner backs they cant cover all day......... we need more of a pass rush !!!!!
Rob Ryan loves to blitz...... but if we dont get there .....it doesnt matter who we have in the backfield we'll get killed . Pass rush is the key to Rob Ryans defence. We also need a WR both starters are injury prone why we bothered to sign Kevin Ogletree is beyond me ????
WR.................. 2nd round
D backfield........3rd round
Oline ...............4th round

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 4/7/2012 5:12:29 PM | | This draft is a key one for Dallas. The need safety halp and help on both lines. Jacobs is in San fran so we won't see him twice a year. the plan was always to move Smith to LT and Free to RT, quit whining about Free. This off season will let guys get in better shape and cut down on injuries, I hope! | |

This draft is a key one for Dallas.
I give up on the Cowboys draft as 50% of the players they draft won't make the team and the one's that do play for other teams.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 4/21/2012 1:59:25 PM | | Cowboys need pass rush and safety help. The Eagles were too fast for them the last 2 years so team speed on defense should be a key. I am wondering if Victor Butler is ever going to do ANYTHING, and I would not sign Spencer long term. Poe looks like a fat slob and apparently he is very lazy at times. Draft Baron at safety and they will be better for it. | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 9/6/2012 4:18:19 AM | | The Giants D-Line must have been really out of shape. Justin Tuck was on the sidelines in the 4th Qtr when the Cowboys controlled the ball, with him needing to be out there. With our starting center out of the game after the 3rd play, and the O-Line having to adjust to different positions they did a decent job with having to be repaired with Duct tape. | |

Those shutdown Dbs
My, don't you use that term very loosely! I counted at least 5 times when Eli hit an open receiver being covered by those shutdown DBs and the passes were dropped, not broken up by those DBs. It was a very nice win for the Cowboys, who are now 6-0 in opening games against the Giants in their history, but as the season goes on you will be disappointed if you think that you have "shutdown DBs" on your team. Those DBs are better than last years DBs, but far from shutdown DBs.

I beg to differ.
The dropped balls were dropped in the midfield (LB ville)
I think you'll see an awful lot of picks from those two; and Mr Clairborne may just get bored of hitting down and stealing passes; and start knocking rbs, tes, and wrs out cold (Ala: Ronnie Lott)
*shrugs*
Sort of one of his "things"
First year; hard to tell. Long year ahead still.....
