Congratulations for what??? That was pathetic at best. They looked like a bunch of highschool kids trying to compete in the big leagues. Honestly I think my daughters highschool team could of done better. The penalties were ridiculous. We shouldn't have had to work that hard to beat an 0-4 team!

Although I will continue to root for my team I must admit I'm becoming VERY discouraged with the lot of them!!! Phillips and Garret need to go and they can take Romo with them!!

Now Austin was my superstar yesterday!! Thank god for him! Choice did a pretty darn good job too!

Yes a win is indeed a win and I'll take it over a loss anyday. Do you disagree that the Cowboys looked pretty bad yesterday?

^^^ i think u are right on this, a win is a win and in the nfl thats all that count. records are deceving, i dont think tennessee is playing like a 0-5 team and i dont see how the browns or raiders have 1 win, i think the tittians are better then both of these teams, but i guess thats neither here nor there. and in a couple of weeks no one is going to remember that the cowboys struggled to beat the chiefs , they just remember they beat them. but then again if records are deceiving doesnt that kinda counter your point about the colts losing in the playoffs to a 8-8 chargers team?,lol

I can certainly agree with that....Records will show near the end after 11 or 12 games into the season. Everything you see now is exactly that, "deceiving."

A win is a win but Wade needs to go. this is a great time to pull the pin. Let the team have a bye week to get some adjustments made and let Garrett run things until the end of the season. Jones should let every player except Ware and James know that they are playing the rest of the season for their jobs. The players have had it way too easy for too long. Maybe bring in Bill Cowher, but leave Shanahan and Holmgren to someone else, their ship has sailed. Maybe Urban Meyer would be the answer.

another cowboy fan who is blinded by Garrett. Garret deserves just as much blame as Phillips. He gets so much hype cause he is in Dallas. Tell me what has Garrett done to gain as much as hype as he does?...

Are you kidding me? Shanny with Romo, Whitten, and a very good running game? That offense would be a force every week with shanny coaching that team. You ask any Dallas fan and they would be doing jumping jacks if Shanny was coaching that team.

I never said Garrett was the answer, my idea was use him to tide us over until we can have the pick of the coaching crop. And speaking of the oh great shanahan, what has he ever done without Elway and that running back Terrell davis? One answer NOTHING! Look at what McDaniels is doing with last years Broncos. And Holmgren, those Seahawks did nothing while he was there.

If you can play poorly ( which comes from your coaching ) and still win ( which comes from certain players ) then that is pretty good.

Austin is the capital of Texas....10 catches 250 yards a new single game record for the Dallas Cowboys.

Your somewhat right. He actually beat the pats in 05 and took Jake Plummer to the Afc champ game against pitt.

from 99 till 08 when shanny was fired, his offenses were an average of about 7th in the league every year.

He only had two losing seasons since elway left...99, and 07.

He produced Mike anderson, olandis gary, portis, tatum bell, all rushed for 1000 yards in a season...4 different backs.

You ask any coach in the leauge and they will tell you one of the most feared coaches on game day is shanny, just because he gameplans so well.

Even Billicheck says he has the most respect for shanny than any other coach.

And Holmgren, those Seahawks did nothing while he was there.

um..he did take them to a superbowl right?...

Look, Im not saying shanny or holmgren is the answer, but its a lot better than what you have now. Are you telling me that Urban meyer who has never coached an nfl game is better than shanny?...just because you win in college doesnt mean you win in the pros...Im pretty sure spurrier proved that...

I'll remember!! I guess I'm not your typical Dallas fan. I want to do more than just win I want to play WELL and deserve it!

Debi I agree with you. When a team wins but doesn't play well, it usually means they won't make it to the playoffs.

Giants have been doing great, but I am still waiting for Jacobs to start running. He used to be a power runner, and still can be, but instead he is just running "fair", if that. Very disappointing. I'm hoping they are just trying to take the heat off him, and use him when they really need him.

Denny I agree a team can play well and still lose. Sometimes the "mental" drive can make a difference. However if they continue to play well and improve, grow stronger as team(mentally and performance wise), sooner or later they begin to win more and more.
That's when a team becomes great!!!

during the game yesterday i coundnt remember the broncos score.

despite the blah play calling, penalties and turnovers the cowboys are 3-2 and the offense has been playing pretty well. look whos leading the league in offense this week. romo was protected yesterday, they gave him time to set up and throw. the offensive line has always been an issue, but yesterday they gave romo time, he was able to hit receivers who werent even open. after tashs touchdown run the cowboys were back in the game and smash is brought back in to start the next cowboy series.
wade phillips took over the duties at defense this year. the defense is worse off now than it was last year. so whats up with the defense not able to hold them and rake up some turnovers against a weaker team?
demarcus ware gets penalizied 4 times in one drive?it happened to phil pozderac in the 80's and he was run out of town on a rail.
the cowboys struggled against not one of the strongest teams in the league, thats the way its always been since they were crowned america's team.

jimmy johnson and barry switizer both came out of college and they did very well

that was a differnt time, there was no salary cap and those teamswhere loaded, also i think any coach could have taken the team switizer took to the superbowl.

its not that i dont like switizer, its just the fact that he took over a championship ready team, much like gruden did with the bucs. he may be the 4th best coach the cowboys have ever had, i didnt intend for it to b a knock against him. you do remember the players on that team right, they where loaded with talent

ok i gotta now, loaded isnt the word.the word is overloaded.

i didnt much care for him at oklahoma, but i did as a cowboy coach.

i havent kept up with college much this year.
thats one of the advantages of a coach coming out of college going into the nfl, you know who to draft!

Petrino, Saban, Butch Davis, Mike Riley(who wasnt even that great at oregon state), spurrier, Lou Holtz, Dennis Erickson, Pete Carrol, ...

that list came off the top of my head...Im sure I can do more research if you want to prove my point that coming from a winner out of a college doesnt make you a winner in the nfl...

Its a struggle.....

sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt for every switizers, walsh and johnson on the flip side is a Dennis Erickson,Mike Riley and Steve Spurrier. i guess u just never know, there are alot of college coaches that have not done well in the pros, but thats just a couple of them to make my point

Being Taged "America's Team" I think most teams play harder against Dallas than they do versus going up against other teams. To give a good example the last time the Rams won a football game was Oct. 19th at Dallas in a 34-14 romp last year. Since then they lost all 10 of their remaining regular season scheduled games and have not won a game this year. They are 0-5 and have been shut-out twice. That's 0-15 since their last win against Dallas. ( Something to think about )
