well I guess the same can be said for the redskins?...since the lions beat them for the first win?
It's either that or being in the nfc east beating up on each other in the toughest division in football.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 5:54:11 AM | | The cowboys found out how hard it is to get a win in KC no matter there record. So I can use the same argument you can right?...afc west beating up on eachother? | |

Shouldn't be that hard if only they had a Head Coach and a Offensive Cordinator.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 6:31:31 AM | I still find it discouraging that Dallas needed overtime to beat a winless team that ranks 30th in total offense and 32nd in total defense. Even if by your rationale MGM they played harder against Dallas than they did any other team... The Chiefs have lost 28 of their past 30, and we struggled to beat them. The Cowboys committed 13 penalties, seven of them pre-snap penalties, for 90 yards!!! That's ridiculous!! Two turnovers, the Chiefs had none. They gave up 304 yards, including the 74 yard drive that tied the game, that is the fourth time in five games they have given up a scoring drive in the final two minutes!! UGHHH!! I know as you say a win is a win but having to try that hard to beat KC makes me wonder what is yet to come. Our schedule is not going to get easier and come December I worry. Rationalize as you will, I just don't see this season producing anything worth bragging about! I want to win, make it to the playoffs, and eventually win it all AGAIN. Dallas fans need it to bring back the enthusiasm of years gone by.
Forgive my negativity but it's becoming more and more difficult to be a Dallas fan!!
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 7:43:18 AM | It's getting rather difficult to watch my cowboys COMPLETELY FALL APART week after week. How many offensive penalties can we commit? A few hundred? It's a good thing the CHIEFS suck so badly....... | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 11:26:38 AM | | iam no cowboys fan, and to b honest i dont want them to win. but i think you guys are being a little hard on them. the fact of the matter is there are no style points in the nfl, yes they have only beat teams that dont have a win, but you can only play whos on your sch., go ask the patriots how they felt when brady threw all of them tds and there where 18-0 and didnt win the superbowl, iam not saying the boys are going to win but i guess anything can happen. also the colts where 3-4 last year and made the playoffs, again iam not comparing the 2 teams just pointing out the fact that there is a chance for the cowboys to turm things around. | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 11:35:34 AM | I wont mention names, they know who they are....
I just find it funny that "some" dallas fans were bashing the broncos for winning ugly against the cowboys, but yet they beat KC ugly and all of a sudden it doesnt matter how you look when you win....
I wont finger point...they know who they are...

Ant team would struggle with any team giving up stats like that.

Broncsbuff is now driving the Bronco's bandwagon he's out in front not stopping for anyone and headed straight for the finish line.
The Cowboys bandwagon is behind and running on fumes.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 11:51:31 AM | | the penaltieswill kill a team but for the 304 yards , thats not that bad, theres only like 7 teams in the nfl that avg. giving up less then that game. but since when do cowboys fans care about penalties? has this been going on for years? | |

Like all other fans we only care when it cost us the game.

good point, but that didnt cost u guys the game, the cowboys beat the chiefs.
Bottom line I'd rather play poorly and win then play good and lose.
It would be interesting to me to know exactly how the Cowboys look in practice and prepare for their next up coming game. I'm sure there has been many times they look real good in practice the whole week then perform poorly in the game. Then turn around and practice poorly all week only to come out and play very well.
Bottom line is that's why they play the games.

We're both on the same page.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/13/2009 2:48:08 PM | Because I've supported the Cowboys for years win or lose I feel I've earned the right to vent my frustrations. I do think they are playing poorly and I will continue to voice my frustrations accordingly. You don't have to agree or even like it, it matters not! I still love my team I just don't love what they've produced lately. It is quite possible to love your team but also not to like them very much. So yeah maybe I am being a little hard on them but it comes from years of frustration and having my hopes shattered that they will do better season after season!! | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/14/2009 3:52:11 AM | All time most yards receiving in a game in Cowboys history?
Michael Irvin? nope, never was Bullet Bob Hayes? nope, not any more Drew Pearson? nope, not even close
But in his first game as a starting wide receiver for the Cowboys, Miles Austin, a kid that grew up in Garfield, New Jersey about 10 miles (no pun intended) northwest of Giants Stadium now owns the record for most yards as a receiver in a game for the Cowboys. A kid that went undrafted in 2006, out of that powerhouse football school of Monmouth (if I wasn't from NJ, I would have never have heard of them either) where they have only had a football program since 1993! All in all, a very intriguing story of a kid that got a chance to start due to Roy Williams' injury and surpassed all expectations. I might want to call him the Wally Pipp of football, but that title belongs to the QB that got hurt and gave Brett Favre his chance to play.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/17/2009 9:50:47 AM | I just find it funny that "some" dallas fans were bashing the broncos
i thought the dallas cowboys looked good againist the chiefs.with the exception of some fumbles, penalities and players hurt.
you have to keep in mind the cowboys are "americas team" and every team is out to beat them. i cannot believe some cowboys fans come in here and say, if the cowboys are not going to win im gonna stop being a dallas cowboys fan, oh boo hoo.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/17/2009 10:51:29 AM | I know cowboy fans like to use the "we are americans team everyone plays us harder" line. Which I think is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. You have a built in excuse for ANY game win or loss. IF you lose, then its , well they played harder. If you win ugly, then its , well they played harder. If you win big, then all that goes out the window and your just a superior team...lol
If the nfl wants to name an "americas team" it should be the steelers. Just a well run organization. It drafts well, an owner that spends money, great coaching staff, and pretty much wins about 10-12 games every year, this goes along with the many superbowl wins it has.
If you havent won a playoff game in over 13 years, the "americas team" should be stripped anyway.
fun facts about my broncos on the cowboy thread...
The broncos are the ONLY active nfl franchise to never get shutout at home The brocons hold the active steak for being shutout in any game, regular or postseason
The broncos are 6-4 against americas team...of course we lost the most important one in 77

the cowboys the mosted watched and publicized team in the nfl DEAL WITH IT
I do deal with it, I just find it funny that a team that has not won a playoff game in over 13 years still gets called americas team. Seems funny to me, thats all.
Dont worry HD....keep on thinking your "2" plays away from being 4-1...lol
