If the nfl wants to name an "americas team" it should be the steelers. Just a well run organization. It drafts well, an owner that spends money, great coaching staff, and pretty much wins about 10-12 games every year, this goes along with the many superbowl wins it has.
All this has to do with being in the AFC North. Weakest and Easiest Division in Football.
Cincinnati has one good year out of every 8
Cleveland has never even appeared in a Super Bowl.
Ravens one Super Bowl win.
Put Dallas in this division and they would have a cake walk. | |

say, if the cowboys WERE to relinquish their "americateam" title, heres a list of my top ten eligibles:
10.2 way tie baltimore colts/new england-boston patroits (maybe then they would have stayed put)
9.san francisco (gotta love that song)
8.philadelphia (notta hater)
7.chicago (its windier here than there)
6.new york giants (they should not even be eligible after not wanting it in the first place, i guess they were worried)
5.buffalo (the weather is ruff there give them a break)
4.pittsburgh (the '70s teams are unforgetable))
3.new york jets (hollywood joe predicting win)
2. kansas city chiefs (the argument here would be, what have you done for me lately)

And then on the bright side, Phillips gets fired, and next year maybe you get a Shanahan, Cowher, Mariucci, or Gruden as the next head coach.
Or then on the down side, maybe Jerry Jones makes a brain dead move and promotes Jason Garrett to head coach. He is a graduate of Princeton, after all! | |

They are & will be forever known as America's team. They are tried and true. Yes Tom Landry was the best coach of the Cowboys hands down. He didn't play when it came to the team. Roger Staubach was the GREATEST quarterback known to man. There is no way to change my mind. The best runningback was Tony Dorsett. The best wide receiver was Drew Pearson. Yes I loved the triplets Aikman, Smith & Irvin. Now you have Romo & Witten. Enough said. No amount of arguments can change my mind so don't even try. As far as the drugs. They were no different than any team in the NFL they just got caught. A person that likes another team is just a Cowboy fan in denial. Especially steeler fans.  | |

i been a fan a longtime also. its sad to see cowboy fans come in and say that are not cowboys fans because they are losing, then they go crawl back under their rock.
i thought troy aikman got ahead of himself today saying with 5 minutes left the cowboys were 5 and 2. he should know better than that, if is a big word.

What playoffs? If they make it. I saw a Saints team that finally woke up in the 4th quarter. Maybe they were tired from last week and it took time to get their sh!t together. But it was a good come back I must say winning against a 2-4 team. | |
