I'll put Barber over Witten as the toughest guy on that team and heck maybe the toughest guy in the leagfue. I haven't seen Witten play hurt like Barber has. I mean Baber even played with a dislocated shoulder one time.
Witten has played hurt a lot, he played with Broken ribbs last year and a few years ago played with a broke jaw. He's one of those players you just can't get off the field

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 10/30/2009 6:14:37 PM | | I am with MEH, Witten has played with broken ribs and he played well. I do miss watching the Triplets though. Irvin was lucky Jerry Jones owned the Cowboys. | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 1:31:42 AM | | Witten is kinda out of that Bill Bates mold. You have to tie a chain around him and hook him up to a tow truck to drag him off of the field! | |
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 7:14:54 AM | the cowboys have quite a player legacy that goes back.emmitt smith has them all beat. at least i can say in my lifetime, the cowboys were on the top with the best, in the nfl.
oh and still going strong
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 1:51:51 PM | HeySteel?!? I've seen Witten play hurt A LOT last season he was limpin off the field after scoring the winning TD barley could walk but still managed to win it COWBOY style. Barber is good but Witten is just as good. That's just my opinion.
Miles Austin MY NEW HERO!!!!
Cowboys are lookin good!! Eagles next week!!
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 2:06:06 PM | | Maybe all the talk about firing Wade made the players play better. They certainly have been executing like they should, but the Eagles will be a huge test. I am shocked at how they Monkey Spanked the Giants, wow! | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 5:22:50 PM | Eagles and Cowboys....That is going to be a good game. One team will take over 1st place for sure. Hopefully the Giants lose their the 4th to be deeper in the hole. 4th loss for 4th place....Chargers are a tough team, which Giants don't know how to beat tough teams. | |

Showdown next sunday night Cowboys vs Eagles 1st place at stake That will be a good game. Both Cowboys and Eagles are playing well right now. Too bad they BOTH can't lose.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 6:22:02 PM | wizardofossington on 11/1/ Giants don't know how to beat tough teams.
cowboys are a good team and still have to play the giants again.
the cowboys won today because they had 1 turnover and only 5 penalities. i try to explain to people why the cowboys lose, but people have their on misconception. the cowboys actually moved percentage points down this week in total offense, but still #2. far as defense stats i dont know if they are in yet, the cowboys are #22, if i remember right thats where they were last week. broncos still #1 in defense. romo moved up to the #5 quarterback. romo and roy williams are still out-of-sync. it was a good game played well against a sub par team. good practice game to get ready for the eagles. GO COWBOYS
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 6:34:21 PM | You know, people have a way when their team wins to flood the forums with crap and trash other teams to by discrediting their lost without any consideration. But win their team loses they don't make a sound....You know why? I tell you, they are SORE LOSERS!!! You know what I mean HDready? | |
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 7:06:06 PM | its alot easier to take a blow out like the eagles did the gaints today, than to lose in close game. when the gaints beat the cowboys it took me a day before i could talk about it on here and i was a good sport, sayin something about me having a heart attack, im game. in a close game you can find alot plays that happened, woulda coulda change the complexion of the game. remember its not who you go with its who you leave with...eagles need to remember that. | |

cowboys are a good team and still have to play the giants again. What does that say about the Girls when the G-spots beat the Girls already? The Girls are good but not tough.
Witten and Barber have nothing on Favre's toughness. The guy has had the bullseye on his chest every play since 1992 and still hasn't missed a game. Had reconstructive surgery on his shoulder during this offseason and still threw four TDs today.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/1/2009 11:51:28 PM | | I don't want to hear people talking about comparing Farves starting games streak to Cal Ripken, Jr. starting games streak. Football is much more physically demanding then baseball is on the body especially positions like the QB position. | |
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/2/2009 12:31:26 AM | | The Giant have a very weak secondary and it shows when they play against good passing teams. The Saints exploited it, the Cardinals exploited it and the Eagles exploited. When the Giants play the Cowboy's the same thing is going to happen now that the Cowboys have a deep threat like Miles Austin, unless the Giants get that problem fixed before now and then, but I don’t see that happening, because there really isn’t anyone on their roster that can step up and be really productive in the secondary against the pass this year. | |

i dont know why i keep thinking the cowboys won that game. no wonder my 2 plays away from 6 and 0 was not adding up.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/3/2009 3:31:37 PM | another season when the cowboys look good in the middle of the season. Romo looks great throwing td passes, looks good with hot chicks, everyone talks about how the cowboys are "playing for Wade"...bla bla bla...
talk to me when playoff time comes along...
Romo....ZERO playoff wins
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/3/2009 3:45:31 PM | Why did you even click on this thread if you don't want to hear about the Cowboys, really why?
People reading this thread want your tired old regurgitated no playoff wins line just as much as you want to read about this team so again WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN THIS THREAD?
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/3/2009 3:51:45 PM |
WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN THIS THREAD?
I love to talk smack. I fully expect HD to come back to me with "your great broncos just gave up 30 points and got waxed"...and I would come back with..."Romo needs to go back to Jessica"...its talking smack...
I can talk football 24/7. Im sure if I sat down with a cowboy fan I would talk footbal lfor hours, and he/she WOULD agree with me that the cowboys need a playoff win by romo...
why are you so grumpy?...jeez...
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 1:51:07 AM | | Romo needs a playoff win for Romo really bad. All this winning they are doing as of late is great and all, but if Romo can't at least give the Cowboys one playoff win this year, not only will Romo prob be gone by next season but so will the head coach. If you aren't progressing in this league then you're regressing, there is no such thing as happy medium in this league. | |
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 2:15:39 AM | | I agree completely. Romo completely falls apart when they are "trailing" in a playoff game. (or when the playoffs are on the line) He plays great as long as the cowboys have the lead, but if they fall behind by so much as ONE POINT he just falls apart. | |
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 1:27:22 PM | You just got to love the double standards when it comes to the Cowboys only 3 QBs since the AFL NFL merger have a better winning % then Romo in their first 45 games as a starter, feel free to look that up. He's broken or is on pace to break almost every cowboys passing record and he's only played 3 seasons, he's 3rd all time in passer rating and 4th all time in completion %, yeah lets get rid of him
Eli Manning was 0-2 in the playoffs before he won his first playoff game should the Giants have sent him packing?
It took Payton 4 years before he ever won a playoff game, again should they have cut him?
If the Falcons make the playoffs and lose again this season does it mean Ryan can't win in the playoffs?
How many more NFC championship games is McNabb going to get to lose before he has to walk?
|

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 3:10:05 PM | Drew Brees has only taken the Saints to the Playoffs 1 year winning one game and losing 1 game. It took the Saints 34 Years to win their First Ever Playoff Game | |
