| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 3:15:00 PM | ^^^Yeah, talk to me when Romo gets to the NFC Championship game. At the rate the Girls are going, they too might go 34 years without a playoff win. | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 4:36:44 PM | I disagree Steel yeah if the Cowboys dont make it to the playoffs then Philips is definately gone . But Romo still has a few more years with JJ before he'll get rid of him. And no matter who replaces Phillips , Romo will still be the Quaterback because of Jerry Jones. He spent too many years searching for a decent QB and I dont think he wants to do that again for awhile. although he did draft Stephen Mcgee | |

All this winning they are doing as of late is great and all, but if Romo can't at least give the Cowboys one playoff win this year, not only will Romo prob be gone by next season but so will the head coach. If you aren't progressing in this league then you're regressing, there is no such thing as happy medium in this league.
That is not all true. Dallas will not get Rid of Romo. Look at Titans coach Jeff Fischer 13-3 Last year Start off 0-6 this year been with Bud Adams no telling how long and No Super Bowl Wins. You think Adams is getting rid of Fischer Not. NFL network reported that two owners would would pay Bud Adams the two remaining years of his contract to him if he would let Fischer coach their team. That won't happen.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/4/2009 10:30:46 PM | Yeah we will see. I highly doubt Jerry Jones is going to stand for another playoff flop and just continue to keep Romo if he can't win them a playoff game. I mean they didn't invest a ton of money in the offense to just get to the playoffs.
You think Adams is getting rid of Fischer Not
Yep.
Tennessee Titans head coach Fisher could in final season
By Mark J. Miller
Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has had a nice long run with the team and owner Bud Adams but it's looking like his ride on the employment rainbow may come to an end when this sorry season finishes, according to the Tennessean.
And there won't be a pot of gold at the end unless you count the fact that Fisher has a contract till the end of 2011. Even with that, there's no reason to think Adams will keep him onboard for another year more than the 16 he's served with the team.
The main sticking point, of course, is the quarterback situation. Fisher really seemed to think Kerry Collins(notes) was the right man for the job and it took massive applications of pressure by Adams to get Fisher to start Young, who won his first game back as starter. "We'll just have to see what happens the rest of the way," Adams said. "I'll have to make my decision after the season is up."
Right now, his decision is looking pretty easy.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/5/2009 10:46:53 PM | Can Roy Williams be more stupid?...
Way to go, your team is doing well, and then you throw you qb under the bus and call yourself the number 1 reciever...
Way to be a team player Roy...

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/5/2009 11:01:56 PM | | Roy Williams = an overpaid, overrrated, waste of draft picks player. This guy was way overrated for what the Cowboys gave up for this joker. Yeah he is number 1 in the blooper reels with footballs bouncing off his numbers and face mask. | |

Roy Williams = an overpaid, overrrated, waste of draft picks player
They could haved used those draft picks on Offensive Linemen. Dallas has a very good and talented offensive line problem is that their all in their 30's and most of them will retire at the same time soon. I also believe that's one reason the Skins are not doing so well, they have one of the youngest O lines in the league.
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/6/2009 7:29:22 AM | Roy is already recanting his statement with his "I'm not T.O." line! It seems poor Roy can't catch the ball unless it's a perfect throw! | |
|
| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/6/2009 9:48:43 AM | Roy Williams wants to be the leading lady on the Girls team. He's like the third Williams sister. Don't they have PR people who sit and talk to the players about how to handle the media? I wish he would have waited until December to start this schit. I would love to see another Dec. meltdown by the Girls.
Apparently Homo doesn't throw his balls at Williams as much as he does Witten. Williams is jealous about they way Homo serves up his balls to the other receivers.

i agree with this, with those draft picks and the money they gave up they could have got more then 1 avg. ( at best) player out of it.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/6/2009 2:44:45 PM | | Every now and then Jerry Jones has a brain fart and does somthing really stupid its called the BF syndrome . I wonder at times how we ever get a good team considering that JJ is in command makes these awful decisions | |

I also believe that's one reason the Skins are not doing so well, they have one of the youngest O lines in the league.
The 'Skins have one of the youngest lines in the league now because, like the Cowboys, they had one of the oldest in the league when the season started (average age 32). Vinny "yes Mr. Snyder, sir" Cerrato doesn't believe in drafting o-linemen (4 5th round and up in 10 years), so there's no continuity when replacements have to play. Then Thomas and Samuels got put out for the year. Now there's one stud in his prime (Dockery), a 33 year old center (Rabach), a third year undrafted free agent tackle who's average at best (Heyer) and 2 line spots by committee, because none of the castoffs, journeymen and one third round pick are good enough to make it as a fulltime starter in the league. If Dallas doesn't draft decent o-linemen soon, this could be you...

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/7/2009 5:41:22 AM | | As a Cowboys fan I am really suprised that Williams has been such a huge bust. When the move was made I thought that it was a good one. Too bad Williams is acting like Owens part 2. | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/7/2009 7:38:19 PM | because the cowboys face 4 teams this year, that are below .500 non-believers say they have an easy schedule, hogwash. left on the schedule are the raiders, but we all know there is no easy team in the nfl.
the cowboys and redskins still have to play eachother twice and they dont count. the redskins are our best rivalry that goes back to the '60s. whenever a cowboys/redskin game starts no matter their record, the score is always 0 to 0.
the game tomorrow night is crucial for both teams.

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/8/2009 4:34:41 PM | Should be a good game if Romo plays well but its a big game and Romos record for these games isnt the greatist but Im still hoping for a win. Actually the fact thast the G men lost has already made my day thanks JAC | |

| ***the official DALLAS COWBOYS thread*** Posted: 11/8/2009 8:38:13 PM | | Homo had been passifying Willams ego by throwing his way. That didn't amount to schit. Finally Homo hits Austin for a TD in the fourth quarter. | |
