You definitely have to work at it a bit harder to keep it alive when youve been with someone a long time - well in my experience, not sure about anyone else. | |

Possibly not such a strange question after all, I imagine there is more to marriage (the same as any other relationship) than sex, and sex is unlikely to be the only reason married couples split, but I could be wrong... | |

I don't think you want too much or that you are necessarily looking for the wrong things. If you're prepared to give up your heart, mind and soul during sex then it makes sense that you hold out for someone you trust can reciprocate. Personally, I'd sooner keep something in reserve until I was sure or my heart and soul might take a long time to forgive me for giving them away so freely. | |

When you are in a lasting relationship it's all about the mental connection, and bonding and loving, and shared air, and acres of touching skin, and falling into those eyes.

shabba nooo for some of us with younger siblings that would have meant our parents might have done things we would rather not face. The poor victims could always go onto Trishia for DNA tests to get free counselling to cope with the social isolation of having married parents. | |

Its better than married sex because you don't always share a bed, and when you do you make the best of it because you've decided you want to, instead of falling in to boring habits, taking things for granted and making half hearted efforts.
It's better than single sex because you've established a rapport and level of intimacy emotionally.
I know a couple where he keeps on his flat though they've been together over a decade. He goes back there if he wants to watch the footie but she wants to watch a movie, just for a few days when he feels like it, or she wants to concentrate on her teenage kids. He only stays when they both want him to, and they still seem very aware of each other and dont take each other for granted.
Seems like quite a good idea to me! | |
