I can't imagine you with a beard. Yet strangely can't stop imagining you with a 70's style 'between thigh' growth. | |

First thing in the morning, I look as rough as a badger's arse, it seems to take my face longer and longer to decrease in the morning.
That said, being a bit of a porker I benefit from having my wrinkles plumped out naturally.
Anyway, get me in candlelight, preferably with Vaseline smeared on the camera lens and I look 17. | |

I prefer the 60's down to your knees style myself.
My mother is 72 years old and is often mistaken for being in her early 60s so I do think it's partly to do with genetics as to how you age. | |

I take compliments with a pinch of salt in general anyway as the thing that matters is how you feel about yourself.
I'm not really worried whether I look my age or not. I'd rather not look older than I am but I don't have a problem with looking my actual age at all. | |

Forehead- got worry lines 50 plus
Body- skinny slightly annerexic 48 plus
Legs- muscular but 1 bad vein 46 plus
Ankles- OK so must be right age 44ish
Feet_ soft like a babies 21 tops
So in conclusion I look great from the ankles down! | |

Ask me on a night out and I will tell you I feel about '29ish' (I loved that age)
Ask me the following morning and I will whimper ' about 99 and stop shouting' (headaches and slight hangover, cann't drink more that 4 drinks without morning after effects)
And the rest of the time, I probably look a couple of years younger than my age!
I think that the real reason that we all look good/younger than we are, is that we no longer act like our parents did when they were our age. My mum really thought that at 50 she had brought up her children, seen some of her grandchildren born and all that was left was retirement and 'pottering' around until her maker called her upstairs! And she would never think of spending money on improving her looks, ie botox, teeth whiteners, etc and to be fair, there is far more stuff available for us lot to improve our looks
Whereas our generation see 50 as the start of a second lease of life to do all the things that we were unable to do coz we were busy with our children and home etc.
So what I am saying is that our mental attitude has a lot to do with how we feel and I believe, how we look at life and how we look.

Posted: 8/10/2009 2:14:07 AM | I try to look after my skin and make the most of whats there so on the whole i dont think i look too rough for a 53 year old lol.I have had people surprised at how old i am but then maybe it,s cos they think i look older  who knows!My younger work colleauges though have said they thought i was only in my 40s which is rather sweet of them.Really all i can say is i,m 53 and proud of it so i,m not going to lie about my age. | |

I dont like it that pillow creases linger until mid morning though..they never used too!.
A semi bonus is that I get mistaken for my teenage daughter from a distance sometimes the downside to that is I get heckled by 16 yr old boys"chloe u is fit innit"..until I get up close and scare the poor young boys to death | |

Talking of 'badgers arses'..yes met someone a bit back off here that looked like a badgers arse and that was with plenty of slap on...
