That would be Oscar.
Because he is a unconformant, critical, but well educated tell-it-like-it-is kinda guy.
And he in Unconventual and lives in a garbage can!
No internet yet for Oscar either, I think.

From the daytime shows though, I love the odd ones like the martians, the siamese twins, stinky the stinkweed ... and the twiddlebugs are they sesame street?

| Re: Favorite Sesame Street Character Posted: 11/17/2005 11:04:27 PM | No, the 2 old guys were Stadler and Waldorf, named after hotels.
My absolutely fave character was the little hairy guy in hippie shades who sang the "Ma-NA Ma-NA" song with the weird things in the background singing the chorus "DoDo DoDoDoooooo"
OMG Bailey, I thought I was the only one who remembered the twiddle bugs! They were so cool. And if I could be a muppet, I'd want to be one of the bandido lobsters who held up the Swedish Chef at gunpoint to rescue another lobster from the pot. I'm just a criminal crustaceon at heart......Hey, Stop waving that butter at me......

| Re: Favorite Sesame Street Character Posted: 11/18/2005 4:48:58 AM | Awww the wonders of those comforting characters on Sesame Street. Something so wholesome & good about them. To this day, when I'm flipping through the channels & happen to see them, I stop & enjoy their innocence & they make me feel better if I'm blue & even better if I'm happy.
My kids favorite set of books were a Sesame Street set. I can almost recite them by heart. Maybe it was the fact we(our kids & us)could enjoy the shows together.
Today was brought to you by the letter S & the number 7.
Super-sized hugs, D P.S. couldn't pick just one fave...would be like choosing between my kids
