| Re: Favorite Sesame Street Character Posted: 11/18/2005 12:30:50 PM | I think its obvious in my name:P Cookie Monster..he soo cute..and he ALWAYS hungry for cookies:)..just like me lol....Elmo was the most annoying monster and he is sooo overrated..he scared me as a kid...talking in tht 3rd voice..I think he needs to tone down on the crack intake. I guess ALOT of people here dont realize..miss piggy wasnt part of sesame st..she part of the MUPPET Show...I guess this thread should be renamed.."WATS YOUR FAVORITE MUPPET?" as I also seen people post favorite MUPPETS lol. that is all.

I'm trying to picture the Swedish Chef (muppet) now ... was he a muppet ... or a human? I'm pretty sure he had human hands (?) ... but ???
Bork, Bork, Bork!!!
and yes to the Ma-Nah-Man-Nah guy ... start that song with a group of friends sometime and see who knows the 'words' ... it's hilarious !!

Can't see why it would not be available. I still have a whole series of Muppet books, The Monster one included, I bought for my son when he was younger. They are timeless and a good, fun read.
ffg709......Yes the Swedish Chef had human hands. The best way to wave that cleaver around. I'm not sure but I always wondered if he and Beaker were related.
A muppet is a muppet is a muppet I think. Does it really matter which show you found your favorite on? I think Jim Henson had the most wonderful imagination.
My favorite is Animal. He is a muppet of few words and plays the drums like no other. LOL. He and Fozzy Bear always seemed to be together.
I also heard a rumor that there may be a new reality show starting where we the people get to pick the newest muppet. I say why just pick one, can't they all join the group?

| Re: Favorite Sesame Street Character Posted: 12/27/2005 7:38:41 AM | I LOVE the vampire... Count von Count... often known simply as "The Count".
The Count's main purpose is educating children on simple mathematics concepts, most notably counting. The Count also has a compulsive love of counting (arithmomania) regardless of size, amount, or how much annoyance he is causing the other Muppets.
Some have suggested that including an obsessive-compulsive Muppet on the children's program was Jim Henson's way of teaching young people about the nature of those with mental disorders, and how they should be accepted socially and treated the same as the general population.
Oh and mann I LOVE his Transylvanian accent! So sexy....
