I got a few you can add in:

"I resort to calling women sluts when I can't carry on an intelligent conversation"
"I hate sex but hang out in the sex forums"
"I'm a judgemental a$$ that dumps on anyone with an open mind about sex"

Of all the selections on POF, why isn't there one for 'Kinky'? And why are the selections of 'for' (i.e, "Hang Out", "Talk/e-mail", "Long Term", etc. instead of about what sort of person you are? In other words, why aren't there selections for "lifestyle"?

Sam

Because, grasshopper, most "kinky" activities are illegal in some states, and simply taboo in others.

Some kinksters like to keep their activities quiet.

Isn't that what the Other Relationship option is about?

But, Closer, everything in your lists is a frequent topic right chere in these sexuality forums. lol

True.....but my point was he can go elsewhere and hookup with kinky people.....not just talk about it.

Consider yourself evicted, OP. lol

Meant to be a favor....not a judgement. Why waste your time getting to know someone if all you care about is thier sexuality?

Everything else is 'BLAH BLAH BLAH' to some....I get that.

Funny thing...if hookup.com doesn't have a "KINKY" category...POF most certainly wouldn't! lol

Also:

I'm a judgemental a$$ who insists something is wrong with a person just because they don't think/feel the same way I do about a certain sexual subject.

There are plenty of online dating sites for kinky folks. Maybe try some of them instead? The problem with many of the "adult" sites though, is they seem geared more towards just hooking up instead of finding a relationship out of them.

If you have some kinkier interests....there's nothing wrong with putting that in your POF profile if you're looking to find someone who shares those interests. It just might take you longer on here, then on an adult dating site.

Precisely the point. I'm looking for dates, not hookups.

Then you are going to have to learn to read the subtle signs that are present. I'm sure someone who's been in the lifestyle, such as yourself, will have figured out how to do that by now. It doesn't say anything in my profile about it.. and yet I am contacted by other people who share similar interests with me. Hmmm.. go figure? AND... if you look.. you'll see that I have "not single/not looking" and "friends" in my profile.

Funny thing about kinky people.... they're freakin' everywhere. Just have to know how and where to look. If you want dates, suggest either openly putting it in your profile, or finding a local munch and starting there.

I gotta agree with her there. There are a ton of closet kinks out there. And for those who haven't tried it, there's a ton who want to try things. You'll always encounter those who are hard against anything beyond vanilla, but then it's usually pretty easy to weed those people out. Having BDSM on your profile will tend to do that pretty easily.

I don't understand why sex questions are so frowned upon. They're completely valid.

If you have a 3rd nipple, i should know about that now so that we don't waste our time getting to know each other. Why would i want a waste a few weeks only to find that out later and have to end it anyway?

Sex questions are fair game as far as I'm concerned. We need to stop pretending. Sex is the most important part of a relationship. Sure, there's other stuff but sex is #1. It all starts there. Looks and attraction wouldn't matter if sex wasn't such a priority. Pretending sex is not important is just an act of cognitive dissonance. If sex weren't the most important, then we wouldn't even want our partner to be the opposite sex. If sex isn't much of a concern to you, then i'd either have your hormone levels checked or make an appointment with a psychologist to determine why you are so emotionally needy.

You would END a relationship over an extra nipple? Others would view it as 'buy 2 get 1 free' or 'hand - mouth - hand' or 'what else do you have a spare of?' - something good. Is that why my dates run even though I have two schlongs? :-)

Personally, I don't believe there is any such thing as "kinky." It's a generic word. Everybody has their own tastes, preferences, and things they like to do or not. One may prefer vanilla ice cream, while another likes butter pecan - the latter is not kinky; just likes their frozen treat differently. Some like their food spicier than others; it's still food. I think - I stress think a "lifestyle" option as a selection may be a bit much for some of the folks on this site. Although, IMHO, it would save a lot of time and embarrassment in trying to weed out those who may or may not have the same tastes as you (or me)
