Flies in your car

I think travelling in a car for flies might be like time travel for us. I wonder if they have different "languages" in different parts of Colorado. I wonder if they are shunned by their own kind because of xenophobia. I wonder if they find "the one", and why s/he is always in the same air vent they are?

Maybe I'm just projecting.

Relative to the ground the fly was moving at about 85mph, relative to the center of the earth it was moving about 4000mph, and relative to the sun it was moving about 67000mph...but none of that matters...relative to the car it was flying at its regular speed of only a few mph. The fly moved 'at 85mph' for the same reason you were - because the environment (the car and everything in it, including the air) was moving at that speed.

I wonder what that joyride would be like - as seen through the perspective of a fly with its ~2000 eyes.
