1. Send emails to women who haven't viewed my profile - A big fat zero response rate.
2. Send emails to women who have viewed my profile - some responses, 1 date.
3. Wait for women to send emails - had a few of these, some good email exchanges.
4. Attend POF meets - had women initiate conversation with me, 1 date.
So, option 1 doesn't work, which is what the majority of men will be doing. I don't send "hi babe" type messages.
You could say I was ugly, but if that was the case then 2-4 wouldn't work either. Both dates ended with the women saying they wanted to see me again, but for me they weren't right :-( | |

Posted: 10/30/2009 11:57:29 PM | Come on, as bad as it is, its your own personal soap opera; why would you want to leave all the melodrama? Just because its a pointless waste of time, doesnt make it entertaining. Look at how many people still tune into Americas 'Funniest' Videos, American Idol, Survivor...... You can expect to find here pretty much what you bring to it. For me, its like TV. I dont expect to get a date from afternoon programming there, why should I expect to get one here. Theres a real world out there you know.
Besides, shopping local is over-rated ;) | |

Posted: 11/7/2009 8:55:38 AM | Once again the generalisation 'All women on here are attention seekers and not looking for a relationship/only looking for the ideal guy, as in rich and handsome'.
As for the comment 'Why have a full profile when you are only here for the forums?'. Because despite only being here for the forums your profile still needs a minimum number of words/characters, and if anyone from the forums looks at my profile, they can see a bit more about me. And if I decide I'd like to tip my toe back into the dating pool, I just make a few changes.
I have had several dates from here with men from all walks of life and in all different types of 'packaging' - tall, short, handsome, average looking, athletic, overweight, bald(ing), luscious hair, nurse, company director, turning every penny over twice and still knowing how to have a good time (and yes, I did date him more than once!) to lavishing me with all paid for dinner dates and presents.
The one thing they all had in common was they had a certain quality about them, be it a wicked sense of humour or very caring and kind, just general good guys. And they never ever had a negative profile or started 'pity me'-threads claiming to be good guys. A real good guy doesn't have to broadcast it, he will be found by a 'good girl' sooner or later. | |
