Posted: 7/7/2005 6:02:16 PM | It depends on the situation. Obviously if you're in church or another such revered area, very little (to no) cleavage is appropriate. Each situation calls for a certain amount of personal judgement about what to wear and what to show off.
There are, though, some basic guidelines to cleavage:
- More in the evening as compared to daytime hours
- Less is more when picking up men (unless it's for a one-nighter, then the point is negligable)
- Less is more on a first date
- Dont show so much that you're afraid you're going to fall out
Et cetera.

Understand that we have to play, no, retract that, one chooses to play in the same pond that is occupied with a wide variety of people. Some of these people, will invariably be the dregs of society, uneducated and unaware degenerates - fact of life.
So given that you understand the rules of the game and the players in the game, you have to be prepared for the consequences. If one chooses to show flesh and projects themselves and acts like a total uneducated skank or ahole - then reap the rewards. You only get back what you give out, simple as that.
If one keeps getting the wrong attractions based on what they project, then they shouldn't whine, they shouldn't add self defeating pity "oh woe is me" remarks in every second post, they should just shut their cakehole and change what they can, and accept what they can't change. If someone wants to attract a nice person, then project the same image. You can still show some flesh, but do it with class. You will still get idiots replying, but hopefully you will also, this time, get a better quality of people responding.
This applies to any situation, be it here or out in the real world. Freedom of expression, unfortunately works both ways.

I work in fashion so you wear whats out there and one time I wore this shirt that was cut low but not Drastically low or anything and a co-worker was like "omg you have alot of cleavage" my response was what am I gonna do their there...lol.. I dont go around hanging out but I cant help it that I show alot of cleavage sometimes hey Im comfortable with myself so like I said before it's all about you being comfortable in you at that time, dont worry what others think of you. | |

OT: I was just going to say that I think that the following are good times to show cleavage...
(this is MY opinion only)
*first dates  second and third dates for that matter too
*clubbing 
*work (I work with doctors, so when the "nice" ones are on, I make sure to wear my push together bra, so when I bend forwards to assist them, they can see...slutty maybe, but hey, I said that I would marry rich one day!) 
*when you are going to see someone that you haven't seen in awhile...gotta remind him why he "needed" to see you again | |
