Posted: 9/4/2009 5:53:20 PM | | This morning I was held hostage by a skunk. It was between me and the car and it wouldn't leave. Of course, I was already running late. It's not cute when you're late for work, it's annoying! I yelled, I jumped up and down, I threw some stones at it, and finally it kind of ambled off to the other side of the car. At which point I got in, started it up, and drove off, hoping it wouldn't spray the car. I was more scared of it than it was of me. | |

"Yes this is my truck and no I won't help you move!"
Made me giggle because I remember way back owning a Chevy Blazer and always got the constant "could you just do me this teenie favour" ......... times a thousand requests. I'm more than happy now with my little 2 door sexy black Cavalier - no great expectations beyond the fact that it is THE best car! (Well okay - next to the '68 Mustang Convertible I used to own ...sigh).

Posted: 10/4/2009 5:47:31 PM | While driving to an appointment in Pinefalls I saw a white wolf between the trees and road.
I once was stopped waiting for a light to change green .... when it did a 3 ton truck slowly (fortunately) kept proceeding through the intersection from the crossing street. My first reaction was "WTF !" but then as it kept rolling by I saw someone jump out of their vehicle opposite me and run up to the truck and stop it.....the driver had had a heart attack. From my angle I couldn't see that.
Sure makes you think about how quickly anyone of us can go. And it pays to be observant and in not too much of a hurry. | |
