| Man Law Posted: 8/26/2009 8:52:15 PM | | Petrified Wood, until the Minister of Dudeness slaps his gavel, all Man Laws are binding. You'll know what I mean when you see it. He's what you'd call the King of manly posting. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/26/2009 8:55:18 PM | | He hasn't been around lately. Slapping the ole gavel I presume. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/26/2009 8:58:38 PM | | He'll be back. He probably derived his name from a thread just like this one. The artist, formerly known as Sock, was the backbone of the funner threads such as the new Carpet Thread. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/26/2009 9:04:59 PM | | Yeah - I heard he changed it from something like socksuckiteer. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/26/2009 9:39:35 PM | Is that kind of like Petered Out changing his name to Petrified Wood. Huh, Pete?? Escaped from banned camp I see.. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 9:11:57 AM |
Man Law: Acts considered homsexeual shall be reserved for the job site, such as frivilous ass grabbing or pelvic thrusts to the facial area of an unsuspecting male who might be bent over in front of said man, and not directed toward male friends who don't work with said man.

| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 9:52:16 AM | | Yes, and it feels really good when I can nail it dead center..... The photos you just sent me proved me right. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 10:19:53 AM | I didn't send you anything. You've implicated three people here.
You know, Boomergirl, you have set POF up for a very serious case of libel. Let me explain:
1) You have tried to connect two members statements. You are suggesting that the words Petered Out said are MY words. That's libel Sweetie.
2) You have suggested that the words I have said not only belong to Petered Out, but yet another person, Pete. That's three cases of libel you have opened up for POF.
3) I'd suggest you stop nailing things together that don't belong together.
4) I would suggest to the mods that they ban you forever for putting POF at legal risk.
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 10:25:29 AM | Not that we are off topic here or anything, but can I suggest that instead of pitter pattering off to tattle to the mods again and invite their attention to the Califorum can we get back to the subject at hand?
Isn't there a man law about tattling?
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 10:37:01 AM | "A man's got to do what a man's got to do." - Dirty Harry
It doesn't get any more man law-ly than that.
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 12:33:12 PM | man law: ones "hall monitor" sash MUST be starched and worn at a precise angle to be viewable by all real and imagined pof posters, lest one get ambushed by an unmarked narc...er, I mean monitor. | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 12:59:50 PM | It seems there are a few less men around here suddenly.
First I get sent to Maryland, now this. I LIKE when the men participate, sheesh.
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 1:07:38 PM | I think man law #1 is have a thick skin. Talking lawsuits about a board makes me feel somehow like I don't belong.
Or as as my old mom said to me once, "I so worry about your brother out there in the world" I said mom did ya worry about me when I went off into the world? She gave me a hard look and said "son when you went into the world, I worried for the world"
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 1:15:43 PM | I think I'd prefer banned camp over this thread.... wait I didn't mean that!
The last time I said something like that it happened (like we shouldn't be able to vote threads down) Next thing I know... I could no longer vote.
Where is the MAN Law in that?
Man Law: If one speaks up against the establishment, one must first establish his right to speak.
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/27/2009 3:36:49 PM | Man Law: One must know the definition of Libel before you accuse anyone of doing it... Libel is only libel when what is said is FALSE.
When what is published or written is TRUE, it is not libel...DUH!
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/28/2009 7:13:13 PM | Caliboomer, I think you are mistaken (you know how much I adore you) in this case. Petrified Wood is a newer member. I remember Pete and I miss him dearly (no offense PW...so far I like your posts too).
Now get on with the Man Laws you Petrified PoF'rs!!!
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/28/2009 7:46:04 PM | Sorry to contradict you, Christy, but I am NOT mistaken.
After I added that post about Petrified being Pete hiding behind a fake profile, Petrified Wood sent me a nasty email with 3 of PETE's photos attached. If petrified Wood was NOT Pete, then how did he get those pictures? Plus, I have it first hand from another person that PW was Pete. I reported him and he got deleted by the mods.....NO Libel when it is the truth.
Pete has been banned from POF several times for rules violations and is now banned forever, yet he keeps reappearing with a fake profile and then running rampant dominating the forums. Last year when we were all so freely having a blast posting in many forums all day long, the mods limited a lot of us to 5 posts per day. Since I have not changed my identity and have kept the same profile, I am still under that limitation. But Pete, under a new, assumed name and FAKE profile, can post as many times as he wants with no restrictions, so he ends up monopolizing the forum with his cheap shots. It makes me mad and that is why I reported him.
For those who don't like my actions-----

| Man Law Posted: 8/28/2009 9:22:07 PM | sits here wondering if PAYING members can be banned You betcha! The Mods do not discriminate when it comes to jerks.
Manlaw: All men on POF shall post real, honest, legitimate profiles of themselves with real pictures of themselves. REAL MEN do not lie..

| Man Law Posted: 8/30/2009 1:58:13 PM | Man Law:
Under no circumstance should a man ever result to looking through a manual to solve thier questions while fixing something.
Terms & Conditions-
* Trial and error works in most situations that may have called for a manual. * If ever questioned, remember that James Bond dismantled a nuclear warhead without a manual.
[quoted from http://manlawguide.wordpress.com/]

| Man Law Posted: 8/30/2009 2:06:55 PM | If ever questioned, remember that James Bond dismantled a nuclear warhead without a manual. Anybody can dismantle anything without a manual (even a woman). BUT, did Bond put it back together again and did it WORK??
I've known many men who can take things apart, but they usually need my help in putting them back together again. I am looking for a man with tools who know how to use them...(with or without a manual)... LOL

Damn... I could have used your help many years ago.
I took a VW Bus engine apart and put it back together.... The thing is I had a dozen or so parts left over.....
It still ran though | |
|
| Man Law Posted: 8/30/2009 2:50:08 PM | Congrats on the VW bus! Do you still have it? And does it still run? XD
The most complex thing I've taken apart and put back together (successfully) is the top end of a ford van engine (blown head gasket). My saving grace was taking copious pictures and notes...which was kinda a lot like writing my own manual =-\ lol
