It depends.

If you actually are shy, then there are a lot of things that you can do about it. If it's mild shyness, then the easiest thing is just to go out more and practice. If it's deeper than that, there are still a lot of things you can do, but they are more difficult.

If, however, you're sociable enough to satisfy yourself, and he just wants someone who is more outgoing, then it just wasn't a match, that's all. No one ever is to blame, to quote the Howard Jones song.

If I don't seem sociable when I feel like I'm being incredibly sociable, how unsociable am I being on a normal basis?

And if the case is that I'm not naturally sociable, how can I change my behavior so that I am?

Now this is a refreshing question:)
OP, I find your thoughtfulness and desire for self-improvement to be highly attractive.

Ok I may have found the problem.............

I read your profile and you sound so witty and amazing and I'm guessing he was expecting that on his date..................perhaps he felt let down.
