I think he's looking for an 'intimate encounter' but just isn't being honest about it but then honesty is a fools game where nice guys finish last. Anyhoo....

OP (or anyone on here) please always consider your personal safety, first meet/s should be in a very public place.

Not just guys... Personally I ordinarily like to go out for a drink or a meal on a first date but I have had a few women invite me to theirs so they can cook me a meal and have a drink with a DVD and stuff. It was cool though, I didn't mind.

As long as someone trusts you not to be a freaky weirdo I think maybe people just like to meet in their comfort zone and be able to relax. At home at least you know there aren't any distractions and you can chat and be yourself. Like I say, it wouldn't be my first choice but I don't think it is terrible.

"Meeting a stranger from an internet dating site at your home is not only silly it is potentially dangerous"

But inviting a guy to go home with you after a drunk night at the bar is not dangerous at all right??

Never ever be so stupid as to invite a total stranger to your own home

1. they could be unsavory/stalker/nutter.
2. married
3. on day release from prison (it has been reported in the forums)

1. THEY ARE CHEAP
2. THEY ARE MAKING YOU CHEAP

if he kicks off at a no, then so be it, you still have your pride and privacy intact.

Hes looking for sex not a relationship. If on the first date he cant be bothered to take you out if dosent bode well for the future.

The most worrying thing is the safety aspect I would never dream of having a man come to my home on a 1st date neither would I do to his.

Unfortunately some women have such low self esteem they readily accept this kind of behaviour as thinking its the best they're going to get making it more difficult for the rest of us :/

Both are no/no's in my opinion and if this is all a man has to offer it says a lot about him.
