Actually, the larger they are also has a slight disadvantage...
At least to fathering kids... In a healthy male, they hang lower to avoid overheating... sperm are sensitive to temperature... (hence the problems some laptop users have...)
So the larger they are, the warmer they are and it can result in reduced sperm count...
The difference between large or small testicles for quantity is actually very low as the proportion of the testicle that actually stores the sperm is very small and the organs inside the sac may or may not be in proportion to the size of the sac...
For a similar analogy, small breasts may produce more milk than large ones, though you'd expect, based on size that the volume would relate to the size... It's more to do with the internal sturcture and glands rather than overall size... so large or small, the quantitymay vary but have nothing to do with overall size... | |
