| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 7/23/2005 5:41:40 AM | i have been single and pretty much alone for the past # of years . since i was raised an only child and lived in the middle of butt nowhere on a farm alone is not a problem. but there are times and they are becoming more frequent that i am finding this single, eating alone, sleeping alone, walking alone is becoming not something that i want to continue. i have great friends but you can still be a lonley person with friends. so i guess yes...summer its not so bad but in the middle of a perth county winter when its minus stupid outside it would be nice to have a cuddle partner.\ somedays thank god i have a good career to keep me occupied..mind you as one ex g/f put it "he was a good worker" never made a good epitaph. never understood that till these last few years... | |

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 7/25/2005 8:48:50 PM | | Ok.. All you people are lovely... I don't get it.. why are there are so many lonesome people. Isn't the net supposed to bring people together? I'm just now starting to date again after being married most of my adult life.. If y'all don't have somebody as good looking and seemingly appropriate as you all seem, then I don't think there is hope for me at all... | |

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 7/25/2005 10:39:46 PM | I'm too tired to be lonesome...
the problem being 'is' we're all people who work and have little op to meet anyone we'd want to date...
sure, I meet men at work, but they are all gay or married! so this is what it comes down to...
don't give up hope...hope you do enjoy talking/meeting people here...there are some really nice people in here :)

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 8/1/2005 5:49:07 PM | | I absolutely loved it when he'd wrap his big strong arms around me and kiss the back of my neck and whisper in my ear the intimate things we were about to share....and I miss the early Sunday mornings...where we'd sit on the back deck, me sitting between his legs...coffee in hand watching the sunrise and no one saying a word....that's what I miss. | |

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 8/1/2005 5:53:07 PM | | I really miss having someone to be affectionate with (in all the different ways), someone to do things with, someone who really loves me. I miss having someone to watch our favorite videos with, or to say, "Hey, why don't we go to the used bookstore tonight?" on the spur of the moment, and I know we can spend an hour or two there browsing around and meet when we're done to compare what we selected. | |

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 8/6/2005 6:42:12 PM | | Can't say I'm lonely but am alone. The phone doesn't ring as much in the evenings, at one time I was use to sleeping on one side of the bed, but now I sleep in the middle. | |

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 8/7/2005 6:18:45 AM | well at least i know theres more of us then i thought. god this springs up memories of an old movie (well ok not that old) but ,of course the actors name completely escapes me, "the lonely guy". anyways i can definitely say that aside from my career which is about where i wanted to be at this time in my life ,my personal life is nowhere close to what i imagined it would be at 37 years old. thought i was going to have a house, got a two bedroom apt (although it is very nice), thought i was gonna be married, nope, married to a job. thought i was gonna have some little ones to come home to,well i have a cat..still not the same. i'm still content being single ,been so long now i wouldn't know what to do with myself anyways in a relationship.but content and happy are to different things. i am content in sigle but iam not happy. anyways peeps as others have said not yet ready to throw in the towel. i just hope somethings happens before i get to the age i'm being spoon fed in a nursing home. may the road rise to meet you, later. | |

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 10/30/2005 8:08:08 AM | Kodiak, My Brother In Arms,
I'm a former Marine and have a Baby Brother stationed in Kosovo. He's an Apache pilot so has nothin' ta hide behind should they fire a missile his way. I Pray and Thank God for each and every one of you who are there everyday and night for your safe return and for keepin' what freedoms we're still allowed ta have here intact. I will NEVER know lonely as you and yours there do, miss things as ya do, long for a touch such as you folks either...I've always been a positive person that has gone after life with a fervor but know this...the sacrifices being made over there have relit a fire that had started ta dwindle ta make a difference again. I'll tell you as i tell my Brother with every email, letter, and care package sent...I'm VERY PROUD to be an AMERICAN and PROUD of those of you that keep this country strong!!! You may be lonely right now Sir...but go to sleep knowing you're not alone. Post your address here and i'm sure we'll ALL send ya somethin' ta show we appreciate ya...OOH-RAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
