| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 5/25/2007 10:28:28 AM | If you feel the need to be around people, get off your but and go somewhere, or throw a party (going out is better because you don't have to throw anyone out when you're sick of it).
Then when you need your space, you stay home in the comfort that there's no one there to invade it.
Lonliness isn't specfic to an SO.

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 5/25/2007 11:46:56 AM | With children you would think you dont feel lonely, but the first friday night when my estranged husband was away, I felt that that terrible sense of 'what now'. I had to go and do some food shopping and it was tough being on my own, the whole evening stretched out ahead of me. It has never got easier, I try to do my shopping quickly so I dont have to think about it.
It is when I am doing the basic stuff, from brushing my teeth and not seeing his toothbrush there or shaving stuff.
If you love someone and they are far from you it feels more painful, no words can express it.

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 5/25/2007 11:56:50 AM | | I miss snuggling up to a soft, warm someone while I'm sleeping at night. I miss the smell of her hair and the soap and water fragrance from the nape of her neck. Yeah...that would definitely be it. | |

Home alone on yet another Friday night?
What do you miss the most of not having someone in your life right now?
Just curling up on the couch or in bed with that special someone. That alone time with her. That time to just hold one another and feel the love.

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 11/14/2007 8:32:36 PM | No, and for several but insignifigant reasons: I am generally on the move all the time, I have yet to meet one on here that can keep up with me. My work is important and sends me out to different countries often to help separate or fix their problems ussually for 6 months. My family is verry important, keeping in touch or the occasional trip home is the cure for the dumps. More and more I try to meet ladies on this and other sites and they don't have the parts to answer back to say "Sorry ..not interested", but it is the first thing on their profile. People have too high of an opppinion of themselves, and don't deliver what they claim, dates normally flushes who is genuine and who is not. And I won't get hurt again, the last on was a killer on the emotions.
But I do miss: The holding of hands and talking about nothing in particular, or window shopping, not that it ever interested me but at least I would be with her. looking into her eyes and wondering what she is thinking, then talking about what was her best part of the day. Just being in that moment, anytime, anywhere, any situation, with her in your mind making you feel her presence in an awesome way.
OR COULD BE THE GLUE I AM SNIFFING..SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD STORY TO ME LOL

| Are you lonesome tonight? Posted: 12/26/2007 8:00:16 PM | Not lonesome but I have mixed emotions. I had my son home for Christmas for the first time in two years and I wouldn't trade that for the world.
Yet I forgot how on the ball I have to be when I've actually got someone depending on me for the little things like breakfast in the morning...a whole package of bacon and 6 eggs at that...lucky to get any myself.
And goodbyes are hard for me so I've been online almost all day. Used to work at a job where I had to sit for twelve hours with barely anything to do (Security) so I'm well practiced at it. And the computer has since replaced reading books.
Plus December 27 is always a hard day. It's my grandmother who raised me and died of cancer's birthday. Some years are better than others. This one isn't so bad but I never forget.
I think it helped that I decided to honour her this year instead of still miss her. I bought a dress to wear yesterday and a friend gave me a string of pearls. It's the same colour and classic style she always wore and suits me too. Felt good in a weird way -- like she was watching over me or something.
But yeah, if there was someone in my life it's the kind of day where I'd have gone back to bed and made love - not raw sex but made love - all day and my ISP could go screw itself!
