seriously everyone has their own opinions .People dont use manners anymore.Kanye felt Beyonce was great Obama felt Kanye was a jackass. Its where and how you voice your opinions and if you should share it in such a public way .We need more role models with manners. We need to teach our kids to have compassion and be sympathetic to others feelings.Not get so high on a horse and think your thoughts are any more superior than anothers. People are spoiled and have fat heads that dont think. | |

EVERY president talks in a 'loose' manner when not in the public eye. The only difference now, is that what can be captured by the public eye is growing to an extent nearing omniscience. 20 years ago, this type of thing would never have even been heard about by the public. The extent and content of which Nixon spoke (he was quite prolific, and his language was much more colorful) off the record was not revealed to the public until long after the actual event. Whereas as one 'slip' by Obama is broadcast in mere moments. With the prevalence of electronic devices today, I am shocked not by the 'slip', but that there haven't been hundreds more.
As for the actual content: Obama is a human being. In an informal setting, he was giving his actual opinion. One that is shared by probably 99.9% of the population. He was not using abusive or offensive language (if you think that the word JA is offensive, then your rear needs a stickectomy). He was not talking about illegal or immoral dealings, or bad mouthing his political opponents. He was calling a spade a spade......get over it.
EDIT: I used Nixon as an example because of how well known his 'off the record' comments are. Obviously not all presidents were so cavalier in their language or subject matter as Nixon, but if you are going to get upset with Obama over one comment that is at most 'mildly' offensive......then you should probably start hating every president that we have ever had, since they ALL made similar (if not worse) comments in their day. | |

This is a statement I can totally agree with, when I was in high school they use to teach you for a month out of the year in health class, social behaviour. This would also go over socially acceptable behaviour, how far to stand next to a stranger, etc. We also had 2 weeks out of the year that we would be taught world customs and traditions from our history teacher. This helped us try to understand other peoples custom and point of view. Now, I dont know what the kids are being taught! | |

My comments in that regard were meant to give some perspective on the conduct of past presidents so that we don't attempt to hold Obama to a fallaciously high standard. We cannot reasonably compare Obama (or any other president) to an idealized and totally untrue view of past presidents. Many of our founding fathers have attained demigod-like status, and we must try to remember that even they were 'real' people with real emotions, thoughts, actions, and even frailties. | |

Okay, that link was broken, but I looked it up and found a working one. Did you see the video of the incident? I can't believe anybody actually thought that was anything more than them playing around. Jay Z came out and did an entire song with Coldplay and then as he was leaving the stage, he went to slap hands with Chris Martin and then at the last minute decided to tackle him to the ground. There is no way this was anything other than two friends goofing off.

Except........he....and West both gave up the security of those moments when they let their egos get in the way and put themselves in the "public light" by choice of their careers.
They want a "private moment".....they need to go and find the most secure spot they can and enjoy it..............other than that.....their every move is for our[their egos?]benefit and will likely be caught in sound or on camera somehow by someone.
Remember the TV show that always had kids doing and saying the oddest,off the wall things.......one of these days the Obama kids are going to slip up,accidently of course,and we will know something we really don't want to.Maybe Michelle really does own a riding crop.

^^^^^Can you read???Nothing was said in regards to the term"human beings" or entitlements.I merely pointed out that these were two folks who put their egos in the way and have robbed themselves and their friends of CONVENIENT moments of privacy.Sure they deserve them....they just have to make sure THEY guarantee those moments are private.Not my job.Not your job.THEIR job if they want those 'secure moments".

Like I can see the guy trying to get a dance with her or past behind her, but it doesnt exactly look like she is dancing with him. Between this and the Kanye thing, yup girlfriend got problems. Someone is out here trying to trash her name out in the industry.
She needs to be careful, I know from experience some people can be very spiteful. Especially if they think you should grovel to them!
