I have often wondered how the hell GW Bush's wife was able to pull it off.
Ever see the "Stepford Wives"? She's got the personality of a manikin. If she's not embarassed every day by shrub, she's simply blind or dumb or both.
Just curious, when did GW stand in front of the country and lie repeatadly for months, to the american people ?
He lied about the need to invade Iraq for years among other things. You're not serious, right?

I simply don't believe he fooled 435 members of congress , 15 foreign countries and their leaders,
The left would have you believe one man (that for 8 years i was told didn't have the i.q. to chew gum) was able to pull of the greatest conspiracies of all time .
If you believe Nancy Pelosi and her ilk, they had no clue what was going on (that alone should scare common sense folks) Then what are we paying them for ?
Geographically speaking, It's as easy to cross from Iraq to afghanistan, as it is for me to leave Colorado into Wyoming.
There were, ABSOLUTLY terrorist training facilities found (You know, those guy's that still want us dead ?)
Something like the fallacy of the war in Iraq coming to an end, it isn't.
In effect , were going to have to leave some troops there , indefinitely.
And now militarily speaking, we will move from an open area (more easily defended)
and move the battle to the extremely tough terrain of afghanistan, Presumably, fighting the same people. (The soviet union tried this for 12 years, and had their butt handed to them on a platter)

here's the way it works: behind the scenes, there is a well-respected and very expensive PR consultant making very specific recommendations about the public facewad and sincere words of contrition that should put before the cameras and sound bite recorders. a.k.a. "damage control". but BEHIND the behind the scenes, there are probably sharp and/or heavy objects and lawyers being cast about the room in the general direction of somebody's head, lol!! oh but not if she's anything like Jackie-O or Ladybird, who are just willing to put up with that shit with a demure little mona lisa smile because hey, that's their station in life and they knew that going into the deal. IOW, they stay in the marriage because their motivations for doing so are completely different than yours would be. if you can't relate, then you can't relate.
oh and dubya's wife is not relevant to this discussion. because for all dubya's charm at least he knew how to keep it in his pants. but anyway, she was able to stay in the marriage because she's just like he is, but mousier.
to answer your question, you don't know what it is op, nor does anybody else, and there are no reliable signs to be discerned from these situations for your own personal edification. i don't know what i would do in a situation like that.... guess i'll just wait until it actually happens and then ask the POF forum posters for their advice.

Maybe it's my age , But having gone through the kennedy admin. It was quite clear all bill was trying to do, was create JFK 2, the sequel , and we all know sequels are never as good as the original ,right down to the womanizing (one difference being, Monica didn't show up dead in the nude like Marylin Monroe)
While i really can't stand the guy, (or any other draft dodging coward) once you've heard Hillary going through one of her "screech fests" It's easy to see why ole slick willy just can't keep it zipped

I don't know who said this, but did it ever occur that some/ most of these women already had a ton of brains and class...and all of the wealth they could ever need before they got with their figurehead husbands.
Politics....one of the shIttiest paying jobs anyone could have, you all know that. That's why they abuse the perks of the job. the pay...senators, governors..it's crap.
C'mon..lookat Theresa Hines...behind John Kerry.,(d. Mass.) .....she's got the money, balls and brains. My band and I played at their wedding on Nantucket Island. Lemme tell ya...she ran the show.....whew....from day ONE!

Hey, I live in the same town with South Carolina's governor's wife.....When good old boy S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford decided to go on a 'love' trip to South America with his young latino concubine, well sure, his wife is standing by him....till he finishes his term. That's just good politics,. It looks good that she is standing by him, but in reality, they live in separate towns...separate houses.....she had all the money before that shIt- head Sanford was even elected. Once he's stepped down, He'll be lucky to get a job as a 'greeter' up in Lowes of Orangeburg . Ummmm...she'll make sure of that.....LoL.!
Sanford's wife., Jenny..she's bright, articulate, and very strong. She'll be fine. She already is fine...never wasn't fine.....her soon to be ex husband/Governor...well, he'll be driving into a bridge abutment soon, anyway......thank God.

Just thinkin' about that thread of AA's about behind every successful man is a strong woman and some of these women have principles, spines and constitutions of steel. They see something through from start to finish. A job well-done and they can hold their head high.
I remember Margaret Trudeau when she was married to Pierre Trudeau our PM at the time. She became a media sensation when she decided to separate from him. Scandal after scandal ensued. Then she disappeared from the eyes of the country, with her head hung low.
Politics are to do with the business of the country. It is serious. Credibility is foremost. Hollywood's shallow ethics and antics do not belong there. | |
