Posted: 10/23/2009 9:27:36 AM | Iv been on and off POF for 3 years now, mainly cos my heart wasnt in it and kept going back to my ex (big mistake, huge) , altho during splits have met 5 complete numpties off here
I have a date a week tomorrow, so far hes not registering on the numpty scale so fingers crossed for me  | |

Try finding one that smokes roll ups ! Or does not turn their nose when they find out you do ..
Turn their nose up at it? Strip most smokers of all possessions and place them in the middle of the desert and they'd be pleading for dried dog turd in a bus ticket before the week is out... | |

but if they were sophisticated and discerning plus knowledgeable about geography they'd probably prefer a camel's

Oh and there was me thinking that 'skins' don't actually need to be paper, especially paper that your bus ticket gets printed on; supposedly in the desert needs must and necessity is the mother of invention. Were it me who was living in a tobacco less and bus ticket famine type hell ..I'd be very inventive and just peel my own sunburnt skin off some part of my body to do the business or I might just make me a home made pipe..out of dead a dogs scorched and air dried penis.
Let's not forget that you were the one assuming that a person plonked in the desert who is a tobacco addict would have a ream of bus tickets at the ready to try and create a cigarette come what may ..out of dog turd. | |

Personally, I don't really understand the need to be "with" someone. I don't know why people feel the desire to have someone to turn to, or share things with. I know this is a more of a reflection on how messed up I am, but I believe you should be comfortable alone, and take it from there. Just my opinion.
Yeah, quite why I have a profile here is beyond me!
Seriously, I don't know if people really have a true understanding of what they want. I don't want to generalise, but we all know lots of women who bemaon the lack of "nice guys", then when they find one they get bored after a week and go chasing a bad boy who they can point as the reason they don't enjoy life. We also know many a guy who claims to want a relationship and to settle down, only to desire the exact opposite when they get that.
Such is life, I guess. | |

When I first joined I had great hopes but it didnt take long before I realised that I wasnät going to find someone for me on here.... But for some to me unknown (lol) reason I kept on coming back basicaly hoping for the site or probably more the people on the site to have changed....but no all they still wanted was a one night stand (or as I would have put it a shag)..... I have a few dates on here who I have shared emails with and spoken to on the phone a lot before meeting but at the end of a date all they wanted was as shag... and when I didnt agree a lot of abusive language was aired on more than one time... Baically the men Ive met seem to think this is a "meet, greet and shag" site...
Ok thats in the past and Im now only here to join in the Forum once in a while..... but I wouldnt recomend this site for dating...and probably not even for Forum as that seem to have gone the pan lately with all the deletions and restricitons coming from no where..... | |

I have met some great people on here when I was on a few years ago , who are still my friends today and some are still on here, some have met people outside of this site and are very happy.
I have had all the above and have the added complication of not wanting children or having most guys my age have younger children so therefore dont have the time to be in a relationship , I very much doubt I will ever meet anyone seriously online for the right reasons, there are some nice guys on here but they always seem to have some issue or another as I am sure some women do too , lol ..take it for what it is and not too serious is why i have come on the forums total boredom  lol | |

It is very difficult to convince people that you are not that bunnieboiler waiting to stalk ya, the mad girlfriend with the pycho ex lurking round evey corner,the gold digger who gonna take you for every penny you have or the sex starved nynpho who only wants you for your body!!
There are plenty of those apparently. There are however a few of us who just want to find someone to share and enjoy a normal sane life with, to visit places,to sit in the sunshine with,to watch horror movies with,to walk along the beach with,to enjoy long passionate nights with?
Its just finding that ONE person amongst all those others thats bloody hard! But otherwise its a wonderful site
and maybe just maybe one day I might find what I am looking for | |

My son said to me...so how come you don't give it a bash ?...Why not indeed...met some great blokes...and fell for my fish...Hook , Line and Sinker....He makes me smile and I feel great....Best thing I've ever done...We're planning a trip in a Land Rover to Morocco.

I study at university and i never get the chance of speaking to someone I might find attractive as there is no time and i don't want to look like a pervert. I basically think that it is a lost cause. You speak to her and you are a maniac or don't speak to her and you are gay. | |

I notice everyone anaylses everything about someone by what they say and try and work them out , well good luck to anyone who trys to work me out I am a mystery to myself haha
apart from that nope I havent found what I am looking for as i dont have a list or know exactly what that is too be honest, but will know should I find it ;D .

I certainly dont like reading all this negativity that abounds in the forums lately. None of us will find what we are looking for at that rate. I have adjusted my profile and tried to be less serious in my approach. To take a more "lets see how we go" attitude rather than " I only want a boyfriend" lol at least I may get more dates?
