in order for selection to work, there has to be something good to select.
the chances of enough good things to select from are pretty much impossible, given all of the bad or useless mutations that would dominate the scene.
there is NO reason at all for a good mutation to ever come up, except pure chance.
how did the brain muster up 100,000 thousand neurons per generation in the last few million years? seeing as we aren't seeing that happen at all today. | |

You just answered your own question..... You obviously would need to live at least one million years + in order to notice any 'drastic' evolutionary changes in humans. I'm not aware of any records dating back a million years describing the human body/brain, are you ?

what is a whole bunch of them all showing up , one after the other, and all working together to form a new thing for survival, that individually would do nothing for survival.
irrational? it IS impossible.
"nature" has NO influence on a beneficial mutation showing up.
one mutation has NO influence on the next one showing up. | |

competition to survive, Natural cycles, and chance happennings are what "defines" any mutation or group of mutations as beneficial/harmful/other.
given this, if i build or grow something that others like then i sell that thing to them and make mine and my familys' life better and more likey to survive longer.
All because "chance" interveined, and i capitalised on it.
And so it is worldwide, and throughout nature.

do you know the impossible odds of us being built by random mutations? one after the other, in sequence? not gonna happen in an eternity.
remember, NOTHING but pure chance, and or errors bring on ALL mutations.
they are mistakes that slip through the self correcting system in our cells.
we don't work 100% anymore.
we are getting worse, sicker. isn't that obvious?
where will it end? are we going to get better, or worse?
all signs say worse, 80 years old is pretty average, and pathetic for a brain like ours.
physical laws or not.
of course there are laws of physics, or this universe with this kind of life would not be here.
maybe there is another way to do it [life with a consciouns], who knows.
take something brighter then us to figure that one out.
took something brighter then us, and nothing, [evolution] to figure this one out too.
any particular reason why a creator is so offensive?
I don't need ANY more evidence.
call that intelligence anything you want, nature or whatever, but its there.
takes a lot of faith, magic, imagination, and fluke, to think we got here, without some sort of intelligence. | |

I guess than before the 20th and 21st centuries, man played nice, there were no man made disasters such as slavery, inquisitions, forced conversion to foreign religions. There was no such thing as the black plague, hunger, starvation. storms that wiped out crops, volcanos that wiped out cities........ just to name a few things.
When people make statements as you do it is out of ignorance of what most folks who believe in God actually believe. Most folks who believe in a God, don't believe that part of his job description is to herd us along on a day to day basis, but is a God that lets us make our own mistakes. I am not speaking for all those who believe that there is a God, as there are those who do believe that there is a time when God interferes. But, just like that crowd, there are those who believe there is no God.................
Why is it that those who don't believe always have to make fun of those who do. How often do you hear things like........ "Aw, don't take him/her seriously, he/she is an athiest". That type of statement is heard all the time when talking about those who believe in a God. Substitute "God" for "athiest", just in case you didn't get the point I was trying to make.

When I was in high school, (way back in the day), I participated in a play titled, "Us and Them". It was a play about two independent groups, whose only difference lied in the fact that one side of their face was white, and the other side black. One group, the black paint was on the right side, and the other group was on the left, with the white paint being vice versa.
I think Star Trek did that one. | |
