I love it when a guy can move...and take a look a at a male dancers physique...yum.

Compared to gym freaks (which are also easy on the eye) they have the advantage of stamina too...and havent taken any steroids!

Nothing beats a good old waltz or quickstep round the dance floor. I went to ballroom dancing lessons when I was younger (30 odd years younger) and would love to meet a man who knows a few dance steps, unfortunately the only man I know who can dance is my dad and he is definately not a poof!!

Belly dancing certainly isn't for poofs (hate that word).....it's an amazing workout with definite benefits to the female body

In my Dad's generation the only way to meet a girl was on the dancefloor.
In the seventies lots of guys did Northern Soul. There are lots of teenage boys who join hip hop and street dancing classes these days. I think it is only the eighties/nineties where the guys suddenly decided it wasn't cool.

Wigan rocked..

On topic I love a guy that can dance, my son is a dancer, got bullied for it in his younger years, got through that and now has a great toned body, not an ounce of fat, eats like a horse, and can seriously dance..
You need muscle tone, not bulk for the lifts etc, and to be extremely supple, you also need dedication ...

Just to add.

My dance class has a ratio of 10:1 or more in favour of women and I go alone. BALLS OF STEEL BABY!

I dance as good as John .................... John Sargeant that is, not John Travolta !!

I only catch this programme on the odd occasions when a female companion insists on watching it.

I'm quite impressed at the effort which goes into dancing, and by the general level of fitness displayed, but the whole thing makes the blokes appear effeminate, what with the gestures/movements/costumes/whatever.

I caught part of Saturday's show, and was impressed by Hollins Jnr's performance - and his mom is a cracking looking woman!

I can understand Joe's comment - he plainly knew what he was doing in the ring, but he's fairly clueless about dance.

there's something wrong with men who take dancing seriously .... it's like the guy at the club or party who think he can really dance .... it's just wrong.

Why is it wrong?

If he thinks he can dance, but in reality he cannot then it is great entertainment value for some of those present...

If he thinks he can dance and his actions support this then again it is entertainment value for some of those present. Additionally, he is on the dance floor enjoying himself and doing what he is good at...

Therefore, I cannot see anything wrong with a man who is at a "club or party who think he can really dance", because both are about having fun, which is exactly what he would be doing

because it's just wrong .. some things are universally wrong ... i don't make the rules up they just exist for the good of mankind.

pineapple on pizza is wrong

white jeans are wrong

men should be playing football or rugby, going fishing or doing some DIY ... dancing is strictly for the girls ....

hahaha ... show yer predjudices, kent, we all like a laff

When I was at school, we had a guy there who was captain of the rugby team, also played in the cricket team, and was also an accomplished ballroom dancer at 17 ( to the extent of representing the NW on Come Dancing regularly )

AND he wore white jeans ... if you think he's a poof, I'll give you his number and you can tell him if you like ... ?

Try to put 'some meat on the bones'... I gave you a couple of reasons as to why it is not wrong

some things are universally wrong ... i don't make the rules up they just exist for the good of mankind.

I hope you are on a wind-up here, if not...

It looks like you have made the rules up on this one, because the overwhelming majority on this thread seem to think it is not wrong. If it was considered "Universally wrong", surely the majority would conclude that it is wrong? Or do you believe the results on here are skewed because we do not represent a genuine cross-section ?

men should be playing football

I love sport including football and rugby, but...

What does playing football show other than a man:

1) Likes the idea of 22 men chasing a single round-shaped ball for 90 minutes

2) Likes to be in close proximity to 21 other men both on the pitch and in the shower

3) Likes to be associated with a sport where most demonstrate characteristics of 'poofs' when failed

men should be playing rugby

What does playing rugby show other than a man:

1) Likes the idea of 14/24/26/30 men (depending on the code, etc) chasing a single oval shaped ball around for x amounts of minutes (depending on the code, etc)

2) Likes to be in close proximity if x amount of other men both on the pitch and in the shower (depending on the code, etc)

3) Likes to have a little intimate grab/wrestle with another man on the floor

4) Likes touching another mans 'chin knockers' if in the scrotum... ooppppps I meant scrum

going fishing

dancing is strictly for the girls

Sorry to disappoint you, but if the choices were fishing and dancing to show whether you possess 'manly' characteristics I'd have to choose dancing any day of the week

20 odd people on a forum post of perhaps 25 individuals may constitute a majority here in cyberforum land where real men wear white trousers .... but in the outside world man-dancing is wrong.

if it looks wrong then it has to be wrong .... one in ten thousand men may be able to carry it off ... but the rest of us should just accept the fact that men can't dance.

edit; peter crouch and the robot dance is the only acceptable exception to the rule !
