Shoot first, ask questions later. It's easier to examine something when it stops moving. The way it's always been, the way it will always be.

Look, if that thing was on my bedroom wall in the middle of the night, I would have killed it too! Just saying...

However, anything OUTSIDE - leave it alone! You can go INSIDE - and it can't "get" you...

Even though it may be detrimental to me, too, I really wish some superior aliens would come to earth & treat us exactly the same way we treat animals. Then we'd understand what ba$tards we are as a species.

Wow...special. If it happens I hope you are the first to experience them, you know, so you can understand what a ba$tard stupid thing that is to wish for.

Often, we fear what we don't know!
Don't take much brains to figure out what happens next!

Went right over your head, eh, lad?

My point is, that human beings like to think that we as a species are generally good & moral.

I contend that we are not.

Sure, there are good individuals, but as a species we are a detriment to the planet & all its living creatures. No one who's prepared to be honest can deny this. Short of a Texas-sized asteroid hitting the earth - we are easily this planet's biggest threat.

The aliens? If these superior aliens who were so superior to us, who didn't respect our level of intelligence, awareness or sentience; even considered it primitive/simple - treated us exactly the same way we treat animals - we would consider these visitors, use whatever word you want to conjure up that means EVIL to you.

Humanity has nothing to be proud of.

See, I have a problem with this view of "being good" that you say people have. I think it is stupid. It is a man/woman trying to deny that they are just as self-serving as any other animal on this planet is as laughable as a midget standing on a stool and then claiming to be as tall as anyone else. At our core, we were designed to survive and to become as happy as we can, and as a rule, we do. What upsets me is all this talk of "sacrifice" and being noble and whatnot. It is just a sham to cover the true internal compass of the human Id. This does not mean we cannot do selfless things, but we do them and recieve joy from them. I have yet to meet someone who did something for another and did not recieve something in return, even if it was that inner voice smugly patting them on the back for being such a selfless, thankless person, they got something that motivated them to do it.

If these "visitors" as you put it were to befall us, they would most likely be doing the same--seeking to become greater than they were before they met us, and we would likely try to kill them in an effort to retain our own greatness, and to steal whatever they brought with them. If they turned out peaceful, then we would try to learn from them. Again, to increase ourselves.

My point to you is this, if it can help me, I will do it. A tree does not care what shrub it crowds out as it grows, and a wolf does not care what it does the the hare population if it can feed. This does not mean I will be a glutton as I know that if I destroy that around me, I will not have it anymore. It does mean, however, that I know who I am. I know what I want. I have no pretenses about getting it. I have no silly shame that requires trying to put on some "noble" facade while doing so. Humans are the only creature on this planet that piss in their own cheerios so often because we fear how our success will be viewed and we worry about all the little things it could cause. As long as we take steps to ensure that we will not consume everything and be left with nothing, proceed as instinct dictates and stop whining about putting a bullet in a deer if you are hungry (provided that the deer population has maintained and killing this deer will not destroy your food-supply later, for instance). No species ever survived by being so ignorant and so ashamed of itself. Nowhere else in the animal kingdom will you find so much self-loathing directly related to instinctive drive as you will in the human.

If it breathes, eats or moves.....humans are scared of it. Humans are a pestilence upon the planet.

It's so sad that humankind has been "socially programmed" to destroy the "alien," even if that "alien" presence has been around for thousands of years. Instead, we should take a step back, and say, with awe, "What is this strange creation before me?" Ironically, the most religiously conservative would be the first to destroy the strange critter. Really sad, and as I said, a result of programmed socialization.

Yet looking at your profile, I see that you you smoke, drive a car, and live in a house that displaced animals. You are no different from anyone else, except that you have some need to either profess to hate yourself, or to actually hate yourself, simply for being what you are. How do you ever expect to reach the pinnacle of your capacity to achieve if you always limit yourself through some sort of self-imposed guilt directed at the core of who you are? Some people I cannot understand.
